FYI...

Daniel Jones’ new Giants mentor even left Dan Marino impressed - ( New Window )
Here's an interview from his time with the Dolphins

I would not be happy

As a dolphins fan to lose what looks like really good coaches after 1 year. It hurts consistency. The later move by a good coach is interesting and maybe we owe Flores a thank you.
I would love to know

What Flores was thinking when he saw Graham and this guy leave town.

Flores is said to be a really good guy. If they wanted to leave and go elsewhere, I don't think Flores was going to block them. He poached from New England when he went to Miami. He knows the deal
Life for a HC in Miami can be fleeting.

Perhaps Flores wants to stay congenial with people that might be in a position to employ him in the future.
I love this direction

Obviously the rubber still has to meet the road, but I am really excited about this emphasis on teaching and player development that Judge has installed.

As much as any other factor, our promising young players' tendency to plateau or even regress after a teasing year 1 or 2 has been so disappointing to observe these past few seasons. Maybe that trend will finally reverse because someone has finally recognized it won't just happen automatically.
Good stuff!

I actually found Fitzpatrick's endorsement more meaningful than Marino's.

Fitz is one of the smartest guys in the game based on his Wonderlic

He is also a very experienced qb who has played for a lot of teams and coaches so he should know a good coach when he sees one.
Flores is either a saint, a pragmatist or not very smart ...

I think it's partly just being a very good guy and a pragmatist. You block somebody from doing what they want to do, you've got a disgruntled soldier who is not going to give 100%.
