but as a RB this is a very stupid decision. If he suffers a serious injury he will cost himself millions. The shelf life for RB's is shorter than most.
He would have been a late 1st early second round pick this year. He could always take classes over the summer over the next two years to graduate.

+1 ... kudos that he values education but this is not a smart decision.

I don't get this take. I used to say this but there is absolutely nothing stopping him from getting his degree during his time in the NFL or after. The only downfall is missing out on the college experience.
can't blame him for wanting to try to make another run at the Championship, especially with Lawrence still there.
Those guys have been in the Championship game for the past 4 years now.
Now that was my take above all else. Didn't Wilkens and Ferrell stay through their senior year to have another shot alongside Lawrence?
I don't thin Lawrence factored into it. Ferrell didn't get as good of a grade, and Wilkins I think really enjoyed his time and might not have been as worried about the financial part of it. Either way, Lawrence was still in high school by the time they had to make their decision, so I can't imagine that factored into their decision.

Agreed. Get your degree later when you've banked millions and have all the time in the world to do whatever you want.
Someone gave him awful advice

I’m sure he’s got a sweet insurance policy in case something goes wrong
