Just beat arrogant Rodgers.

Thanks.
I can't
Eric from BBI : Admin : 1/19/2020 8:49 am : link
stand Rodgers, but my Giants conditioning has taught me to immensely dislike the 49ers uniform.
Love Rodgers
UConn4523 : 1/19/2020 8:53 am : link
hope he gets another crack at a ring. Also would make the McCarthy thing a whole lot funnier.

I dont see it though, SF line is too much. Rodgers needs to play the game of his life and they need to force Garoppolo to pass downfield into mistakes.
Hate the Niners
Ryan in Albany : 1/19/2020 8:59 am : link
more than Rodgers. Go Green Bay. But hope the Chiefs beat the shit out of the Packers in Super Bowl LIV.
I have the same
rocco8112 : 1/19/2020 9:17 am : link
dilemma. I cant stand Rodgers either and always root for him to lose. But, as a Giants fan, rooting for the Niners is usually a no go too.

Can't stand Rodgers though, he is my NFL Super Villain. Keeps me interested especially when the Giants stink to root against teams/players. Childish I know, but it seems others on this thread share the sentiment.

Overall, I just hope both games are entertaining.
A repeat of sb I on 100th anniversary of NFL

Green Bay will be crushed by San Fran

defense.

CRUSHED.
I am torn
Mike in NY : 1/19/2020 9:28 am : link
I have a friend who is a huge Niners fan, but a Green Bay winning would be big because this was a team that severely underachieved with Mike McCarthy as head coach and would love to stick it in the face of Dallas fans if Green Bay was to make the Super Bowl as soon as they canned him.
I hate the 49ers almost as much as the other NFC East.
smshmth8690 : 1/19/2020 9:43 am : link
BUT I think I dislike Rodgers even more. Rooting for SF, and the AFC in the SB.
This Rodgers run has an Elway vibe to it
Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 1/19/2020 10:00 am : link
I've always felt that Rodgers was the evolutionary Elway and now with a running-based team, it feels similar to the Denver run to beat GB in Elway's first Super Bowl.

SF is a big favorite - they are better in almost every aspect. But with both teams running the ball as much as they do, there won't be that many possessions. And I trust Rodgers a heck of a lot more than Jimmy G.

Just for kicks GB 20-SF 17.
Rogers is hard to like

49ners are one of the Giants enemies/rivals. The Marshall LT hit. The Burt hit. Love it.
i find it interesting for how long the Packers have had
Rory : 1/19/2020 10:32 am : link
Aaron Jones and it wasn't until just this year they made him the premiere back.

Even with the suspension (2 games last season) he should have been the primary guy over Jamal Williams

With his first 1000 yd season and 18 TD's IMO he's the main reason they are in the NFC championship.
And, even though hes one of the all-time elite QBs,
Big Blue '56 : 1/19/2020 10:37 am : link
I do NOT want Rodgers to appear in and win as many SBs as Eli.

Titans vs 49ers would be cool. Go Titans
Go Pack go!
trueblueinpw : 1/19/2020 11:16 am : link
Dont get the Rodgers haters. Yeah, hes a weirdo off the field but hes the very definition of a generational talent.

I like the Packers organization as much as any other than the Giants and usually root for them to win. And come on guys, the Niners are probably our most hated non-division rival. What other team has had most heartache and hatred and great victories and defeat with the Giants than the Niners? That hatred and history is not there for me for the Packers, kind of the opposite actually really like the Pack fans and history (some former Giants coach named Lombardi was there foe a while right?).

I also think the Niners have a bit of a glass jaw. If the Pack can get up early, and Im not sure they can, I dont see Jimmy G picking up the team and winning against a fairly stout Pack defense.
This happens to be a likeable 49er's team
gtt350 : 1/19/2020 11:23 am : link
it's those damn white wine sipping, quiche eating fans
i can't root...

for the 49ers, and i wasn't even that old for the legendary giants 49ers games.

Most, if not all of us CONCEDE that Rodgers is a generational talent. That said, we have the right to dislike him as an individual and root against him for that very reason.

Not a Rodgers fan

But the Niners might as well be the 5th team in the NFC east for me
Too many battles - too much animosity

Of course my big blue brother, you can root for or against anyone and anything. Did not intend to offend. And pulling for the Niners, or any against the Pack, or Rodgers or whatever isnt like rooting for the Iggles to win the Super Bowl.

Im only saying that, yeah Rodgers is a weird dude off the field, mostly with stuff relating to his family and relationships, but hes not some kind of domestic violence dirtbag or a gangbanger or something. Hes obviously going to the HoF and this would be a huge page in his storybook career. And the Packers have a certain kinship with the Giants unlike any other NFL team. Also, Rodgers has had some big moments that I appreciate As a Giants fan. Beating Dak and the Pokes in the playoffs a couple years ago is one that jumps to my mind. So, I guess Im a bit of a Packers fan.

Anyhow, hope theres two great games today.
Go SF- I like THIS roster vs the 'old days'
jerseyboyLAX : 1/19/2020 12:21 pm : link
plus I will enjoy seeing Rodgers get sent home. A**hole.
Rooting for San Fran.
GiantsUA : 1/19/2020 12:27 pm : link
San Fran was an arch enemy at one point but have been somewhat benign the last 20 years.

San Fran NFC championship game was Quite possibly Eli's greatest game, what a warrior.

He got beaten like the proverbial Red Headed Step child and kept on coming back.

Not sure how that read, but you didnt offend me at all..👍🏿👍
I am all over the Pack +7.5
montanagiant : 1/19/2020 12:45 pm : link
That's a lot of points to be giving an Aaron Rodgers led team. I could easily see the 49'ers being up by 14 and giving up a garbage time TD to Rodgers and that makes that .5 huge
.
Danny Kanell : 1/19/2020 12:50 pm : link
I think the 49ers win today by 3+ touchdowns.

Yeah key for Pack to get up early and force the Niners to try and throw to catch up.
As soon as the corpse of the Eagles' dead season went cold,
Mr. Bungle : 1/19/2020 1:26 pm : link
I felt like I was able to enjoy the rest of the playoffs, no matter what happens and which teams win.

I just want both games to be well coached and well played. Looking forward to watching.
Of course we have little idea
Big Blue '56 : 1/19/2020 1:28 pm : link
how Jimmy G will react to the NFCC pressure, so theres that.
Rodgers is a little hard to like sometimes
TMS : 1/19/2020 5:49 pm : link
but he is a hell of aQB when healthy. Hard to bet against him.
I was hoping the 49'ers would lose
montanagiant : 1/19/2020 6:37 pm : link
But out of both teams they wold give KC the best fight. So now I want them to win but not cover the spread.

That old 49ers dislike seems to be back for me.
FStubbs : 1/19/2020 6:40 pm : link
Go Green Bay. No question.
Think
AcidTest : 1/19/2020 6:43 pm : link
the 49ers win pretty handily.
Come on Troy, get your head in the game

That was a 3rd down stuff, not 2nd down
Great for another Championship Game Loss at home

Ive hated the Niners for the past 40 years, but
John In CO : 1/19/2020 6:54 pm : link
id really like to see this defense vs the KC offense. That would be one helluva matchup! So I dont know if I can ROOT for that uniform, but it wont ruin my day if they win the game.
...
Eric from BBI : Admin : 1/19/2020 6:54 pm : link
the 49er QB can't be any good. His arm is weaker than Daniel Jones' arm.
That's embarrassing
dpinzow : 1/19/2020 6:55 pm : link
3rd and 8, and the 49ers break a run for a TD
