As for the Giants opening at DL coach with Freddie Roach staying at Ole Miss with promotion, I’m told former Raiders DL coach Brentson Buckner is not in the mix to fill that vacancy at the moment, per source.

And no: nothing as of this tweet on the OL coach.
I think we can see so far

that all the new people Judge is pulling people from a particular coaching " tree " or philosophy.

I think the OL and the DB coach will be his two next MOST important hires.. The OL as we all know has been an absolute mess for years.. and thats being nice..

And our defensive backfield is YOUNG. like still in diapers young. They will need a strong coach and teacher, who will school them on the basics AND hold them accountable...
I'm still hoping for Antonio Pierce

to land the LB coach job. Pepper Johnson for the DL coach would be another solid hire.

I'm sure this goes for most here but I keep waiting to see a stickied thread titled "Giants hire Bill Callahan"
Radio silence on Callahan

Strange.

Someone said Callahan might want to go work with his son in

Cincinnati. Can't blame him if true but I don't think there is an opening. They'd have to make up a spot for him.

I'd expect these spots to be filled relatively quickly now like in the next 2 days.
I agree OL and DB are critical

So many young kids in secondary and the OL guys can’t be that bad.

We do have a few other good options should Callahan not sign with us, and after every thing I’ve read, I don’t think he will sign with us.
If Callahan does not end up here,

I could see Marc Colombo as a big possibility and he did a nice job with that Dallas line. Of course with the talent they have, it makes things a little easier IMO, but non-the-less, a guy that has played the position and has coached it fairly well, just might be the guy.

Another guy that was on the JG staff that might be a good assistant would be Jon Kitna. No QB Coach available, but maybe some sort of Offensive assistant to JG?

Need TEs coach too.

Defensively, maybe Kris Richard could come aboard as DBs coach?

Very surprising that we’ve not heard a squeak about assistants?! Hopefully they’ll get them filled this week.
Coaching..

in Cincy seems like torture whether or not you get to spend quality time with your son or not.

Lol
Since it's senior bowl week I would imagine we need to move quickly

The positions we are mostly likely drafting early (EDGE, LB, DB, OT) are all without a position coach.

Kris Richard might be heading to LSU as Defensive Coordinator.

He wants to run a zone scheme, we’re not the team for him
Freddie Roach might back out on Ole Miss and go to Alabama

per Art Stapleton.

Sounds like we dodged a headache.

Flipside, Mike Brown seems like a pretty cheap fucker, so unless they do a horrible job it would be reasonable to assume their jobs are safe for a few years.
