Expectation is Joe Judge will meet with Guge tomorrow. They worked together in NE in 2014-2015.

To my knowledge, no interview with Giants scheduled for Callahan at the moment. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but sounds like Callahan has other irons in the fire. We’ll see.

Look it up. No. 3 OL in the league with Jets. Won a Super Bowl with Pats first year that the great Dante Scarnecchia originally retired.
Oversaw the reclamation project in Indy. Jumped in last season in Miami in July when he wasn't slated to be OL coach.
about the guy but from the interviews and clips I see he seems like a hard nosed no bullshit, no excuses type guy. And quite honestly we need that. It might rub some players the wrong way, who gives a fuck. We need good tough OL on this roster. Guys like Hernandez could flourish under him.
I don’t know if he’d be a good hire, but considering the typical reporter covering teams these days, I’d say willingness to spit tobacco juice at them is a positive on his resume

He was here 4 years, had good results here, worked with coach Judge for 2 years, and coached Solder for 2 years, Tom Coughlin and Belechick, the coach of 2 super bowl teams, the Giants set a franchise rushing record under him with 2,518, without a great running back or pro bowl offensive lineman. With the Dolphins Reggie Bush had his best years under him. Pats were hit with a lot of injuries, including a season ending injury to Solder in 2015. He seemed to have Indy heading in the right direction, but Reich wanted to bring in someone he knew. He had the Colts ranked 2nd in pass blocking and 4th in run blocking per football outsiders metrics. I think there is enough out there and enough personal experience with the Giants and Judge, plus he has had some impressive results.

Rubs people the wrong way. He doesn’t appear to do a bad job, but doesn’t stay anywhere long
sounds like a throwback and some do not want too much talked to in a harsh manner that might crush their feelings. Wasn't he hear during our premier rushing years with Jacobs and Bradshaw? I do remember after he left our rushing stats dropped by 30% or more. Maybe he was doing Flaherty's job.
He should be a sizeable upgrade from Hal Hunter. #3 OL with the Jets , a top ranked OL with Indy. Won 2 Super Bowls. Had a horrible OL when he got let go in NE mostly due to injury.

If you think about the Judge hire, he had never met Mara or Tisch, but Judge had a great reputation and was highly recommended by some of the very best football minds. Judge sold himself during his face to face interview and the high recommendations of others.
A few years ago, the Atlanta Falcons took a chance on Keith Carter as their O line coach. Grabbed him mostly on his solid reputation and work at San Jose State. Got the Falcons to the Super Bowl, and has since moved to the Tennessee Titans and done a really great job.
If you look at Zac Taylor, the young head coach of the Bengals, he did something similar. Went to the college ranks and grabbed Jim Turner from Texas A and M to be his offensive line coach. Its too early to tell how that will work out in Cincy, but clearly Taylor took a college coach who was respected as being one of the best at that level.
We don't really know what Judge is doing to evaluate possible candidates. I just hope that the biggest selling point on any coach hire is that "we used to work together".

Herb Hand- He is currently at Texas, but has also coached at Auburn (Braden Smith) and Penn State
For all we know, Joe Judge may have reached out to all these coaches. Perhaps known have interest in a career switch.
My point is that there are some very highly regarded O line coaches in the college ranks. Its still my belief that Coach Judge will be thorough in the process and make the right choice.

Kind of like Todd Haley. Was considered a top OC at one time but was a bit of a head case. Maybe not to that extreme though.

Rudolph isn’t going anywhere. The guy to get is actually Bob Bostad who was the architect of the line when they had Wagner, Ziegler, Fredericks, Carimi, Groy, Havenstein, etc etc. Hes coaching LBs for the badgers now for a reason no one can quite figure out.
Why do you think Rudolph isn't going anywhere? He's kinda been at Assistant Coach/OC for a while and this could be a 'promotion'.

He never seems to last anywhere. Got fired in Indy (although that was more McDaniels' fault than his own), and got fired in Miami last year. This would be his 5th new team in 5 years.
