at the Senior Bowl.
For Jason Garrett, the freshly hired offensive coordinator, it is back to beating the bushes, as he no longer is the established Cowboys head coach, having lost that position after a decade. Judge is entrusting Garrett with the keys to the Giants offense and the work begins now to find players to augment the new system. Offensive line is always in demand and the Giants no doubt will be paying close attention to Trey Adams (Washington), Josh Jones (Houston) and 6-foot-7 Prince Tega Wanogho (Auburn).
There are no edge rushers at the Senior Bowl to make anyone forget Ohio State’s Chase Young. The Giants need one and new defensive coordinator Patrick Graham should be on alert this week for Terrell Lewis (Alabama), Zack Baun (Wisconsin) and Josh Uche (Michigan). |

would love if we got him in round 3 but not sure he falls that far

With so many teams in need of OL help it is highly unlikely he falls that far. If he fell to the early 3rd round area the Giants would be wise to trade up for him.
He'll likely be gone the end of the 1st rd early 2nd.
Barkley is supremely talented, but if Judge and Garrett are serious about using players to their best advantage, they're going to be getting him out in space, and reduce his running between the tackles. But a team needs a banger for short yardage and other dirty work. And the RB who has most caught my attention for this role is Patrick Taylor Jr. out of Memphis. But I still need to learn more to be sold, he went to The Shrine Game and was overshadowed by other RB's.
He is unusual in being a taller RB listed everywhere from 6'1" to 6'3", but he's not massively built, going between 225 & 230. I've seen photos of him working out in shorts and a T and he has essentially a slender build. But he is very muscled and strong, and generates a lot of power. He runs with good pad level at contact, dragging tacklers and has a proven record for picking up hard TD's and 3rd downs.
But he's not JUST a banger, he's got excellent vision, decent long speed, and can catch out of the backfield. If his regular play can approach any of what's shown in his highlight video, he would be potentially a very useful prospect in the 5th round, or later. And if he hangs around, remember the Giants have three round 7 picks this year.

Might be an interesting prospect if he can still be had later in the draft, around NYG's 3rd comp, or their 4th. Would see him as a good prospect at RT, less likely LT, and he might need to start inside. A huge man who mauls defenders.

You could be right, you can never know. But he looks more than a little heavy footed to me, and I think he could stick around. But if the Giants agree that he's that promising, there's always their pick at 37, and if he isn't there, there are decent OL's who will be, if that's the way they want to go.
