Apparently the NBA admitted that should have been a 5s call vs the Sixers, right b4 Harris' 3

Also apparently Love getting a little demonstrative on the court while his O wouldn't move the ball...you know, play basketball the right way...is "drama" and gets him fined by his team? Are these guys THAT sensitive nowadays? WTF do you expect a leader to do when they aren't playing well? NOT say anything? Maybe there was a better time or moment, but in game arm flailing for a justifiable reason no less (and he was right)...that's a fine?

And a lot of times it is on the player and if he has the work ethic to become that player..

This is very true and doesn’t get discussed enough.
Entire Knicks team went to David Stern's memorial yesterday.

Dolan covered all expenses, as it was held at Radio City. Nice gesture by the franchise.

DSJ has to go and, while I've been a Frank supporter ... this game is the last straw - frankly (no pun intended), I could shoot the basketball better than him when I was in high school.
I can't stand watching Frank

brick open shots all night. NBA players have to be able to put the ball in the basket. It sucks because he's a good kid who cares and has worked hard to improve a bit, but he just can't make a damn shot.

Sometimes players just are not good enough, he is not good enough..

Knox- Works hard, has the tools, but just cant put it together..

Mitch- ceiling to me is tyson chandler, if he learns positioning and how to anchor a defense..
I have a feeling smith is getting traded
nygiants16 : 1/22/2020 10:05 pm : link
he was questionable for the past month and then all of sudden he is active for this game?
You
Jon in NYC : 1/22/2020 10:21 pm : link
know who I'd love for the Knicks to draft? Obi Toppin. Gives off really strong Amare vibes.
Begley says Malik Monk may be a trade target.

Mills/Perry can't get enough of the one-dimensional lottery busts.
Can the knicks
nygiants16 : 1/23/2020 8:57 am : link
stop trading for other teams busts, like the knicks are some team where role players come and play better..

Now if he was traded to miami he would all of sudden be shooting 40% from 3..

Stop trying to develop busts, you drafted role players and until you get stars on the team those draft picks will continue to look like dogshit..

Infuriates me that Steve Mills
bceagle05 : 1/23/2020 10:09 am : link
is still making decisions that will impact the future of the franchise.
I
DanMetroMan : 1/23/2020 10:12 am : link
like Toppin but he's going to be 22 in March, keep that in mind in comparing him to other potential picks. Hayes for example is 3 full years younger, as is Wiseman.
no more projects please
nygiants16 : 1/23/2020 10:19 am : link
no more oh this guy will be good in 3 years, no more of that please, it doesnt work..

and not just for the knicks, for all teams dradting projects doesnt work

Problem is knicks have to trade some of these guys to get some sort of asset back..

you also have to trade 1 of morris or randle

Understood, but I think he's a stud. Great in the post, great feel for the game, can shoot, plus athlete.

Why is every younger player a project? Killian Hayes is averaging 12.8, 6.2 assists, 39% from 3, 46% from the field, 91% from the line as an 18 year old playing in a professional league. Wiseman at 18 was averaging 20 and 11.

where did i say every young player is a project? i was speakingnin general, i dont want another project
Which
DanMetroMan : 1/23/2020 10:39 am : link
extremely high pick falls under "project" this year? I know very little about Maledon other than sounding like a Frank type but here is a projected "lotto" as of today. Who is the "project"? Every single one of these guys is ready for significant NBA minutes next season. Again, sans Maledon who I don't know much about.

1 Atlanta Anthony Edwards SG
2 Golden St. LaMelo Ball PG
3 New York James Wiseman C
4 Cleveland Obi Toppin SF/PF
5 Washington Jaden McDaniels SF/PF
6 Chicago Nico Mannion PG
7 New Orleans Deni Avdija SF
8 Detroit Daniel Oturu C
9 Charlotte Cole Anthony PG
10 Phoenix Vernon Carey PF/C
11 Minnesota Tyrese Haliburton PG
12 Sacramento Theo Maledon PG
13 Portland Isaac Okoro SF

DanMetroMan : 1/23/2020 10:48 am : link
not an exciting outcome but defensively Okoro reminds me of PJ Tucker. Don't see how it happens but if we had a late lotto pick I'd be all over him.
According to begly
nygiants16 : 1/23/2020 11:17 am : link
Mills and Perry told team they expected playoffs a d told players they signed they will stay on depending on win loss record rather than how they perform individually..

So basically they are judging morris on wins rather than his career year..
So much for the rebuild I guess.
bceagle05 : 1/23/2020 11:28 am : link
Let's sign mercenaries and make a push for the eighth seed. At this point Perry doesn't get to hide behind Dolan and Mills - he's proven to be completely incompetent, too. He was brought here because he didn't have the stature to threaten Mills' job.
Like i said before
nygiants16 : 1/23/2020 11:32 am : link
I dont care how you do it but the league is about stars, if your plan is not centered around that than your plan is never going to work..

Yup.
Wonder what the league is thinking right now
ghost718 : 1/23/2020 12:48 pm : link
Dolan covering David Stern's expenses may be seen as a nice gesture on the surface, but beneath it,he could be trying to score points with the NBA.

With the ratings down, and a big market team being run this poorly, could we see some action?
Imagine if we had him

That's the NBA cult of youth problem. That's how an immensely talented and accomplished player like Malcolm Brogdon somehow lasts until the second round.

I'd be very happy with Obi Toppin.
The problem is that...
Italianju : 1/24/2020 8:35 am : link
Brogdon is the outlier. That said i dont care as much about age as i do amount of time in college. If a guy is in college for 3-4 years then he should be absolutely dominating if he is going to be a stud pro. A guy like toppin is a bit old, but only a sophomore. NBA teams are just trying to hit a HR too often and "projecting" what a guy could be if everything breaks right.

Italianju : 1/24/2020 5:59 pm : link
FA, i forgot that SAC didnt pick up his option or whatever. So knicks should keep an eye on him, but no reason to trade any asset for him.

.. i know the knicks are leading, might even win, but I’m starting to get annoyed with this loyal and dedicated fan base of ours. So cheerful. So happy to be there they hardly ever even boo anymore. I question whether things would remain the same if msg was dead night after night. Not that change ensures anything good here... the stink and grotesque just changes its shape.

if he could shoot he would be a hell of a player..

Have to trade 1 of morris or randle, i prefer to keep randle, but can see why people want to keep morris..

Trade portis for whatever you can get..

Trade ellington for peanuts..

trade smith for a 2nd round pick.

trade frank for a 2nd round pick or peanuts..

keep bullock, keep gibson but off the bench..

Keep Knox for now
