-Baylor is the 7th #1 team in the AP Poll, and the rankings seem to shift majorly every week.
-Dayton has a legitimate shot to climb into the Top 5 if they keep winning.
-The A10 is a LOT better than I anticipated and my VCU Rams better get their shit together.
-Shaka Smart officially on the hot seat in Texas after last night's blowout.
-I can't believe how many number ones have lost to unranked teams this year. The whole thing seems to be in upheaval.
-Rutgers is in the Top 25 for the first time in nearly 50 years.

This just might be the year a mid-major finally wins the whole thing.

This year seems like the perfect storm for that to happen.
Now watch the blue bloods dominate the F4 - Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, Louisville... ;)

There will never be a better time to get rid of him. Perfect storm of declining recruiting, attendance and general fan interest. Willard will be available and should be the top target, but hell call Pitino and bring him back from Greece.

And Roy Williams shows his true colors with the qoute 'least gifted team I've ever coached'. What kind of ego this guy must have to throw a bunch of teenagers under the bus like that.
He should blame the guy that recruited, developed and coached them.

Yep I think his Dec/January slump is really ratcheting up the heat. Though I still think it will take a 1st rd. exit to really get Admin to consider pulling the plug. On a happier note Hump my 15 yo daughter did a ton of baby sitting and surprised me with tickets for this past weekend so the whole family spent the weekend down in CP. we loved it, had a blast! haven't spent a weekend down there in over 25 years damn the place has changed. Its like a little city there now.
Agreed Willard is no big upgrade over Turg. Scott Drew is an interesting thought from Baylor. He's had a lot more NCAA tourney success than Turg with a lot less to work with in terms of university support and recruiting...
All comments noted. Willard has outcoached Turgeon in both games the last two years and his teams are noticeably tougher than the Terps. I would say Turgeon still does less with more.
Bruce Pearl is an upgrade but they will have to pay a ton. Don't think this administration would ever sign off on him or Pitino.

If you go down the path of Drew, you are asking for NCAA sanctions.

Huh? He inherited a mess, but what has he done?

Bobby / Stu - I’d see if Billy Donovan is tired of the NBA and wants to come back to college.
There are times in the past when they have turned the ball over too much. But compared to other teams with a hell of a lot more talent: Willard has done a great coaching job.
He is doings terrific job coaching the team this year. For me I am happy he is at the Hall. Enough said.
Wow that rivaled Pistons-Pacers. That was really ugly. The flagrant 2 that started it was really bad too. he tomahawks him and then stands over him taunting.

They have a great recruiting class coming in It’s the worst team - by far - of his career both UNC and Kansas. I thought they sucked even with Anthony’s heroics early on. The guy has won 3 national titles here .... yeah I’m gonna give him a pass
/common sense

Sorry, didn't get time to respond - there has been a stigma with Drew going back to 2012 when he got popped for failing to monitor his assistants and paying people associated with recruiting services to cover his camp. The murmurs of paying kids has always been out there with him but that's a Baylor thing in general.
Big win by Turgeon coming back against a 6-win team on the road.

That was vintage Maryland/Turg basketball. I turned it off, knowing they would probably make a comeback but was already too annoyed by the first half of the game.
On a lighter note, how about former Loyola lacrosse star Pat Spencer playing really well for Northwestern's basketball team? He doesn't quite stand-out on the court the way he dominated the lax field but still nice to see him contributing.
