In the market for a new mattress and don't have the time (or desire) to go to stores to test them out so I may pull the trigger on an online purchase. I bought a bed for my daughter on amazon (I forgot the brand) and its incredibly comfortable - she's 30 lbs so it should last a while for her but I have no idea how they hold up for adults over time.
In any case I'm looking for something on the firmer side that doesn't sink.
Secondary question - has anyone from the online places every returned a mattress for not being satisfied? I keep seeing the 365 day guarantee and don't really know how legit that is.

My in-laws got a Casper and then returned it and bought a Helix

I feel like this is going to make my head spin - no idea which material i'd prefer, haha.
Stopped the order on the new bed, researched how to submit a claim and since there were no longer local Simmons dealers, took pictures of the very lumpy pillowtop and Simmons ACCEPTED THE CLAIM.
They shipped us a new King Beautyrest. Saved me 4 grand.
I did a happy dance over that one.
I've only slept on it for 4 nights, but so far it seems legit. It's similar to memory foam. Came packaged in plastic, and grew to its king size once we opened it. I like soft beds, and this one is pretty firm. So far, I'm still a fan.
Affordable as well. Hope this helps.

+1. Just read the Consumer Reports on mattresses, and Tuft and Needle was one of the two best -- and it was much cheaper than the other top brand.
