Another British comedy show that was out around this time (late 70s to 80s). Watched it along with Monty Python while at Great Lakes (USN). Loved the humor in both.
Over Christmas, I was re-watching some of the original Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969). They were real innovators and highly irreverent. Great humor never gets stale...
I laughed more than I should have at that entire scene when he's eating and just throwing up until he explodes. It's waifer thin!
Python was my first indoctrination into the dry wit and humor of the British. I've been to London many times and always flash back to something that the Pythons did.
for those who want to know why they call junk email spam. Well, it's from an old Monty Python skit and with Jones in particular saying spam over and over again (with a group of Vikings). Flying Circus was the best.
in a couple of months and ironically thinking, this might be my last chance to see a member of Monty Python in person.
I saw Cleese and Eric Idle do a show a couple years ago (had good seats; sat directly behind Rob Schneider who said he flew from LA to Jax just for the show).

the American who was the director. If I remember correctly, Jones was from Cambridge before he got into comedy.
Nope. JOnes and Gilliam co-directed Grail, but Jones directed Life of Brian and Meaning of Life. Gilliam obviously went on to be a big director with Fisher King, Brazil, and 12 Monkeys among many others...

I had no idea that's where it came from! Thanks!
