Take a guess which unit is mentioned first.

Don't bother:

The New York Giants Pass Rush

Link - ( New Window )
I thought our pass rush put more pressure this year than last..

Our pass rush is still pathetic , but I didn't think it was the worst part of our D.

I think or practice squad level LBs and rookie secondary with an elderly safely performed worse than our pass rush.
Does this analysis make it any more obvious

that the Giants screwed the pooch by not losing to Washington the 2nd time around?

What a fooking crime and gutless mismanagement to not tank one fucking game to get to the 2nd overall draft slot.

It's the most clueless thing this team has done since drafting old one eye way back when.

I'm sorry but I still don't buy that premise. The only crime would have been if Shurmur kept his job. You have to actually start winning at some point or all you do is create and foster an air losing as an acceptable and expected outcome.

Plus, Young is being way over hyped here.
I rhink the pass
Pete in MD : 1/23/2020 8:53 am : link
rush improved as the year went on, maybe the competitive wasn't as good either but guys were still wide open in the secondary. Third and long was no problem.
We were 22 of 32 teams in sacks last season and 12 in pressures.

Not great, but as was said above, not the worst part of our d.
What nonsense
BillT : 1/23/2020 9:02 am : link
Our pass rush was much better than our OL which isn't even listed!! We ranked 22nd in sacks last year.
I think..
FatMan in Charlotte : 1/23/2020 9:11 am : link
the term underperforming is a bit odd here.

The pass rush wasn't expected to be very good and it probably exceeded the expectations it had coming into the season. Meanwhile, the secondary underperformed on both expectations and in their play.
Doesn't make sense
Andrew in Austin : 1/23/2020 9:19 am : link
Our secondary and offensive line were miserable. Would be interesting to understand pressures as well as sacks. I thought we were improved from last year.

What about our secondary?
You can argue underperfomance when it was JPP and Vernon
penkap75 : 1/23/2020 9:43 am : link
But I thought our bunch of no name pass rushers did actually better than expected this season.
surprising that they didn't talk about our secondary
gidiefor : Mod : 1/23/2020 11:45 am : link
on that list -- very surprising
