"I just think he's ready to really take the next step of being one of the great O-line coaches in this league," offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said of Colombo. At 40, Colombo is the NFL's youngest offensive line coach. He said said he uses things he has learned from all of his line coaches -- Tony Sparano, Bill Callahan, Pollack and Alexander -- and added some things he believes work well. "I know football one way, all right, and that's with passion, energy, emotion and enthusiasm," Colombo said. "That's the way I do it and I have a group that just feeds off that. I love every one of those guys. I'm fortunate to coach those guys and they respond. I coach them hard. We do more detailed technique work than any other unit in the NFL and they just want more and more. That want to get more looks. They want to get more individual time. They feed off that. That's where get our strength from, just outworking everybody." |
...he's got his work cut out for him:
A unit that has been going in the wrong direction for a decade.

Lets get to work!!
Well when he signs his name on the dotted line, he is part of Jints Central.
Oh, and I am sure he wanted Callahan, which will mean the Jints Central either fell asleep and missed hiring him, or he wanted a parking space close to the building and Mara stormed out of the room and told him to get lost.
Perfect place to use that quote!!

A young energetic OL with some good mentors, Hal Hunter was a 200 year old walking mid day nap. Players reflect leadership, and our sad sack OL reflect it. Colombo sounds like a shot in the arm for these guys. Color me excited. The long time player part helps too, he's done and seen most of this recently first hand. I cant wait for bw to find a negative spin, it should be a good one.

JFC, it's known fact that Callahan doesn't like Garrett. With Garrett here, Callahan was not coming. End of story. This unending,"Mara's are sleeping, don't care, won't spend" is just so fucking tiresome.

I think it's possible you may have missed some sarcasm there?
Which is one reason I don't buy the arguments that Garrett underperformed as Cowboys' HC year in year out.
That's a price Garrett paid for the voluminous Cowboys' PR machine.
