And to those questioning why Reese wasn't there - why didn't Reese make a public statement the other day when it was announced that Eli would retire? Professionals around the league made their comments, but Jerry's silence was deafening. With Mara's opening statement today, he gave credit to Ernie for building the Championship teams. No mention of Reese.

It is very strange. I have long maintained there were different agendas between Mara, Reese, Ross, Coughlin. What they were we probably we will never know.

TC going first makes me think Mara sided with Reese. Mara bringing in Dave tells me he realized the team around Eli stunk. I do think Reese may have some bitterness not being able to pick his QB and Coach.
