According to a Rocky River (Ohio) police report, officers pulled Hunt over for speeding and noticed the smell of marijuana in the car. Hunt was placed in the back of the police cruiser while officers conducted a search. They found small amounts of marijuana in a backpack in the backseat. Police seized the backpack as evidence.

he's a moron

I think weed should be legalized but fully against driving high. You'd think after being on thin ice he'd forego the blunt on his drive to wherever he's going but I guess not.

I'm guessing there will be a suspension coming.
The article leaves out the parts about
MBavaro : 1/24/2020 1:54 pm : link
it being his mom's car (at least registered in her name) and Hunt claims the weed was his brother's, who also has used the car.

ESPN can literally go f themselves

Are we supposed to believe that? ISn't that what everyone says when they are caught with something in the car?

Not sure its untrue, but its unlikely.

Oh, you can't go fast in your mom's car...? ;)
but the article glosses over
Giantsfan79 : 1/24/2020 2:43 pm : link
even though the cops found weed, they didn't charge him for it, so from the law's perspective it never happened.

I agree. For a drug that doesn't cause physical dependency, weed can sure make people do some crazy stuff.

I always did. Mom had a '72 Olds Cutlass with a Rocket 350.

Reminds me of that photo with the cops posing in front of their “Big” drug bust, and it’s like 2 ounces. Get real.

Nah, Hunt admitting to the police that he wouldn't pass a drug test at the time of the incident and the open bottle of vodka in Hunt's bag.

Nothin' to see here...

It depends on how you define "high." People can drive legally drive cars after having a few drinks. The mere fact that there was small amounts of burnt marijuana in the car doesn't really mean much to me.
It's not even arrest season yet
arniefez : 1/28/2020 1:08 pm : link
getting a head start I guess.
Metnut
UConn4523 : 1/28/2020 1:12 pm : link
ehh, if anyone of pretty much any size has a couple of drinks they will likely blow over the legal limit in their respective state.

As for weed there just isn't enough research on "how high is high" when it comes to impairment. I suspect whenever its fully legalized there will be zero tolerance with it when driving, which makes sense to me.

Point here is that Hunt is a moron. I don't buy "its my brother's" and even if I did he's pretty dumb to not know about it before driving.

Although I doubt it
UConn4523 : 1/28/2020 1:15 pm : link
not being able to pass a drug test could happen if he smoked last week, not necessarily in the present.

There's plenty of reasons to think Hunt (or anyone in this scenario) can be innocent, but there's way more to suggest he's guilty.

What does a drug test have to do with anything? You can fail a drug test for THC after not smoking for over a month. The drug test has zero correlation as to whether he was fit to drive.

The open bottle of vodka? If he was drunk then surely we would've failed a breathlyzer right?
