It is interesting that there has been no rumours that I have heard about potential DL coached after Freddie Roach reportedly decided to stay at Mississippi. After all Roach was one of the earlier position coached reportedly targeted by Judge. Given the Dline is the strength of our defence at present with a lot of young talent and Judge's focus on tough, physical football, this is a key coaching position.
(Note: Pepper Johnson would be an obvious target, but given his XFL commitments, seems unavailable)
Based on what Judge seems to have done with other positional coaches and the fact he looked at the college ranks for a DL coach with Roach, I would expect these two to be strong candidates for the Giants Defensive line coach.
1. Chris Rumph (Tennessee, Co-DC/OLBs)
Rumph (48) coached with Judge at Alabama and has a long history of coaching DL. Including Clemson (2006-10), Alabama (2011-13), Texas (2014), Florida (2015-17) and Tennessee.
2. Charlie Partridge (Pittsburgh (AHC/DL))
Partridge (46) coached DL under Bielema at Wisconsin (2008-12) and Arkansas in 2013 (before becoming a HC).
Both seem to be the kind of guys Judge is looking at with personal connected to either himself or staff and both provide plenty of experience.
What other DL coaching candidates do you expect to be on Judge's radar?
Coach Judge is friends with Jeremy Pruitt. Judge has already poached Kevin Sherrer from the Tennessee coaching staff. Its highly unlikely that he would grab Chris Rumph as well (but he would be a great add for the Giants staff).
Judge did take a coach (Burns) from Saban, and also one from Belechick (Bielema), and I think that is commonly expected in the business. But I doubt he will take a 2nd coach from Pruitt (they worked together in 2009).
NFL Teams typically want a firm commitment from assistant coaches with expiring contracts prior to the start of the Senior Bowl practices. I thought that Ryan Nielsen (coached BJ Hill in college) was a possibility for the Giants if he left the Saints, but that timeline has passed.
The Giants still need another coach in the secondary, and a hot name in the current college coaching ranks is Brian Newberry, who is coaching at Navy. I attached some info on Newberry, and he was a semi finalist for the Broyles Award (given to college footballs best Assistant Coach)

How does two = large number?

Is anyone else worried about the large number of college position coaches on our staff? I'm sure there are great coaches at all levels of play, but if the NFL is a meritocracy, then I would expect the best coaches to be those with experience coaching in the NFL, generally. I get that there are up and comers. And new blood needs to make it's way into the game. But we have a lot of college position coaches on our staff now.... Hope they are up to the task of running with the big boys.

What, you don't count the conditioning staff? :)
Perhaps I overstated the case, but I also look at a guy like Jerry Schuplinski and am concerned that his only previous job without an assistant prepended was in College. However, now that I go back and look over the list it does not seem as bad as I initially thought.
Daly would have been available to interview during their bye week, but will have to wait until after the SB

Lateral move why would the Chiefs allow that?

Even if Reid allowed it, I just don’t see it. Daly was Spags’s DL Coach when he was Rams HC so I don’t see him wanting to leave KC.
