on staff is in case Garrett leaves after a year or two, he could be a good internal candidate for that position.
In general the thing that sticks out re the staff is it has more than a couple guys on either side of the ball, should a coordinator leave or fail, to bring up through the ranks.
On the defensive side I’d say Bieliema, possibly even Spencer.
Judge talks about wanting to be multiple, I think he’s setting the same structure for the staff to ensure sustainability and continuity in the face of attrition.
that could easily help out on either side of the ball. Looks like there can be a lot of cross-fertilization of ideas and depth in case someone leaves in a year.
RE: Eric, what have you done with jvm's sticky?! Â
Particularly, he guided Dallas OL in 2018 IIRC when that unit was ravaged with injuries. IIRC at some points Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, and Travis Fredericks - their three All Pro studs - were all injured at the same time, and the OL was still at least an average unit.
TMac is the lead dog, Quinn has been around for a long time so maybe he's better as a resource than actually running the show. He's like the Shurmur of Special Teams coaches
Quinn is like a cockroach in a nuclear explosion Â
to do this. I don't ever remember a NYG HC going down his staff list and giving quotes on all his coaches. All of these guys have a lot to live up to now including him.
Pretty much everything Joe Judge talks about is what has been wrong with the Giants for a long time like since 2009 long. Including 2011 when they won the Super Bowl with a team that barely snuck into the playoffs.
I'm very hopeful but he's setting the bar way high for an organization that has won 12 out it's last 48 games.

I'm going to guess that this is the first time you've felt optimistic about the Giants in the last ten years.
rank coaches can coach 25-30 year olds as well as they may have coached 18-20 year olds.
not there only purpose. somebody in that list can be used as the new HC if things continue to fail. Makes it easier on the owners to dodge continual overhauls in that they can just prune a head here an there.

Odd comment. Except for Garrett, none of these guys are HC candidates in the next couple of years. Maybe okay as interim HC to finish out the season. Just a strange comment here.
I am thinking that the 3 “assistants” with no positional assignments Â

You guys are starting to get a bit strange with the pinned threads.

Scheme, tendencies, favorite formations and plays, situational players.
Someone besides the HC and coordinators needs to be doing that.
