has a few ex Giants on there ,The NY team does not have alot of name guys which is surprising .If the game was Saturday i would have went .I most likely will go to the next game thats on a Saturday
RE: I looked into it - but they want upwards of 60 bucks
it looks like they have done a good job selling the lower bowl.
I'd be willing to bet that a lot of those "sold" seats are corporate tickets, giveaways and freebies.
It would be hard enough to get people to show up to minor league football game in February in Jersey for free, let alone at sixty plus bucks a seat plus thirty bucks for parking.
If they really wanted to give fans the "XFL" experience and try to attract a fan base. You don't charge for parking and have a big tail gate event promoting the team. Free giveaways, future tickets, guardians gear, etc...
but in terms of value, I price it somewhere near what a minor league baseball game is worth. And I basically go to one of those a year at best, if it's all you can eat hot dog night :-)
Without fucking ketchup of course.
If I were these guys, I'd have opened up the stadium at 5 bucks a seat. A crowd of people is the best thing they could ask for.
If Vince wants into football why doesn't he just buy a team?

I was surprized that the Tampa Bay Vipers tickets were selling for $60. I thought for sure that they would be in the $20-$25 range.
but particularly not the first one. If it turns out the games are actually decently played and fun, maybe. (I mean again, I wouldn't go, but I could see why people might go if the games were legitimately fun football). But wouldn't you want to at least wait and see if it's actually remotely decent football before investing the time and money to go?

Flipside of that would be the novelty of saying you were at the first XFL game.
If the league acutally had some staying power, that would be a thing. If it turns out to be the AAFL (or whatever the hell that last league that folded halfway through was named), then...

I suppose. I've never met anyone who's proud to say they were at the first game of the original XFL. One never knows, but I don't expect this 2nd incarnation to convey much bragging rights to attendees either.
what network is airing the games?
Aren't all the tickets lower level? If so, none of them are going to be bad. Plus it looks like they start at $26 (before fees):

a seat for decent tickets. I wouldn't pay that for a preseason game let alone the XFL.

End zone seats. So figure 40 or so per ticket, with a 30 dollar parking pass. For an XFL game whose quality is unproven. Expensive in my opinion.
Unless it's the NFL, I have zero interest in it.
I want to see the top tier talent. This ain't it.

so if you had a kid who played football, you wouldn't be interested in the game?
It used to be a nuisance, now it's extortion.

LOL..well I guess you have me there. But then again, that's a bit different, right? The fact that he's my son takes precedence.
