Munchak was a Deciding Factor for Shurmur
The Broncos lucked out by hiring Mike Munchak to coach the O-line last year. It started as a head-coaching interview, though that hire went to Fangio. Munchak was interested in the head job initially for multiple reasons, not the least of which was the fact that his daughter and grandchildren had recently moved to Denver. |
recall in MIN he had Sporano. Si piece mentions he had 3 offers, and Lock was another key in the decision. I personally wish him well

If he isn't the very best O-Line coach in the NFL, he is a Top 3 hands down.
Whoa, I really, really wanted this guy for Giants. Guaranteed he would have improved this unit even with its bottom-basement talent.
Mike Munchak is the real deal and he walked the walk and talked the talk as both player and coach.
It doesn't get any better than Mike Munchak!
And of course it makes you wonder the alternate scenario where we take Josh Allen at 6, and either Drew Lock at 17 or in the second round.
Quote:
He stuck with previously unemployed and unwanted Hal Hunter for 2 years here.

are you new to bbi? Have you ever read a game thread? You re asking for a lot

I think he kinda has to say that now especially when that was a direct question :)
Broncos are in a similar position as the NYG... but I think there's greater potential in NY. If Lock is good, they could make some noise, but too many free agents on a defensive side of the ball that is trying to maintain their identity.
