of the current roster. Maybe we’ll start to hear some cuts announced soon. How Kareem Martin is still on the books is baffling to me? He seems like a no-brainer with the amount of cap space the Giants would save and his minimal contributions on the field the past two seasons.
But I’m loving everything coming out of East Rutherford these days. I’m honestly excited.
It's hard not to be jaded after a decade of futility.
Still, I'm going to temper my own excitement until I see what transpires in free agency and the draft. I'd like to think that Judge & Co. can turn things around, but I just don't have much confidence in Dave Gettleman.
if it would be better to not have Gettleman voicing his initial observations so audibly in the stands around his scouts like that. Consciously or subconsciously it could affect their views..."Hey, the boss likes this guy."
If I was in Gettleman's position, I would want my staff to come to me with their own views.

I thought the same thing. It's natural for people on the hot seat to want to make sure they are not alone in the boat on decisions. When in doubt, confirm your views line up with the bosses.
But who knows, maybe DG liked everyone there? Or maybe he is seeing if anyone will disagree with him?
Nah...he just talks a lot.
RE: Kind funny seeing him talk to office staff and probably line cooks Â

Good point, though his stuff was like "Whoa what a catch."
Nothing like the detailed sophisticated subtle analyses we get here on BBI.

It seemed like made for TV quotes to me. They were pretty much a bunch of football truisms besides discussing Daniel Jones which seems out of place at a scouting event
Losing doesn’t have to last forever just like winning doesn’t always last forever. Giants can rebound. Just need the right coaching staff. The players will come some are here already. Giants find players eventually. Any franchise that is loyal to the draft and cultivating process will be rewarded eventually. One thing the giants are is loyal to the draft it’s just fucked them lately because players either didn’t pan out or got hurt or the system was too rigid and doomed to fail, or a combo of all the above. Things can change.
I watched the MSG interview. I especially like where he repeats using the players strengths rather than trying to fit them to a scheme. I always thought this is where Bettcher fell down the past 2 seasons.
Well done!
Next step is clearing some dead weight.
Then a very important FA period is only a month away.
Followed by the April Draft!
Very critical 3 months....for next year hope for the season.
Wont be easy....OL and every stage of the defense.

You would think they would like to keep that in house. If they were going to show interest in some kids, let it be a QB and start people wondering.
Unfortunately I cannot say the same for DG and that video displays some of that.

Did you catch the first row in that scene?
Probably the new analytics folks.
