It makes me think of what a mistake Shaka Smart made going to Texas.
He had a legit shot to create a Gonzaga level program here. He fell into the same trap many others do. Better to be the bigger fish in the smaller pond.
His system needed mid major talent that was willing to come off the bench and contribute rather than the traditional starting five getting the lions share of minutes.

My oldest went to VCU. We all wish Shaka had stayed. My youngest used to go to his basketball camps. That man has charisma for sure.
There are a lot of Giants fans in Richmond, and some BBI’ers. We should have a get together sometime.
