1. Franchise Tag Dak Prescott
2. Sign and Trade with Miami (Dak for #5)
3. Sign Tom Brady for 1 year 30 million
4. Use #5 to draft Tua (or Herbert)
Normally I would say 'keep dreaming' but idk this doesnt seem all that 'impossible'. I wouldn't take 40 mil per year Dak over rookie contract Tua if I'm Miami but maybe something can be thrown in to sweeten the deal for Miami.

i would say there is ZERO chance miami trade #5 for dak and that contract.
they would take tua at 5 and be done with it. i understand that dak has proven success at NFL level, but they arent a dak away from being very competitive. id take tua and go youth and cheap movement

I agree. So Miami prefers Dak Prescott on a huge contract to one of the top QBs in this years draft? Cowboy fans just wishing other teams are stupid.
within minutes of Pats being eliminated from playoffs some of my Â
Pats fan friends were speculating that the Pats would move McCourty and a couple of other older more useless players to the Bengals for the #1 pick so they could take Burrow. They were dead serious.
Instead of just drafting Tua or Herbert. Makes no sense. Trading Dak to a team that doesn’t have a shot at those QBs might work but then you don’t get a future QB in the draft. And Dak isn’t playing on the tag so they would have to sign him as well.
the Redskins get 3 1sts and a 2 this year and a 1 and 2 in 2021, for their #1 pick from Miami (who picks Tua), Detroit takes Simmons or Okudah and the Giants land Young in the first round and Wirfs with their 2nd round pick...
The NFC east will be on the way to being a top division again!
Dallas sends Dak and 17 leaving Miami with Dak, 17, 18, 26.
Dallas has Tua to sit behind Brady 1 year.
And Brady can do another below market deal for Jerry when Jerry let's him run TB12 out of his quarter of a billion dollar yacht, Bravo Eugenia... ok that last part was definitely a joke.
Tua is injured often.. and Herbert looks like a boom or bust..
Dak and #17 for #5...
Dolphins would have Dak and 3 first round picks to build around him.
I think you guys are convincing me you are more afraid of this happening than you are convincing me it's not at all realistic.
Miami is not taking Dak.
They should consider it. Herbert is not as good as advertised, tua has to redshirt year 1 if he gets hurt year 2 they are going to be looking for another QB..
a flaw in your plan is that it's contingent on Tua being there at 5. If he isn't, the deal is off, and Miami is left with no Tua, and no Dak. The cowboys have Dak and Brady.
Miami is going to want guarantees that they leave the draft with the QB of their future.
