3rd quarter, we are losing 17-12. But good game, we still got a shot.
This is the nyg super bowl win

I am least familiar with, it that’s even possible. I feel like I probably know virtually every moment and play of the other 3 more than this game. Sort of the forgotten super bowl of the 4, again, I use that description loosely, but it the 4 it seems to be the least discussed or remembered. it’s a gloriously awesome game but kind of weird too.
The ending alone

Is weird. The Bradshaw td and the lead up to it. Brady getting that 4th and 16 only to see the game end like it should have, with the Hail Mary falling harmlessly incomplete.

The game also threatened to get away from both teams at two junctures. Both teams hung around. Battle of FGs in the middle quarters. In the end this game went like just the other closely fought games went in both postseason runs, the giants scored the extra TD in the 4th while the opponent settled for the FG. One drive made the difference in four of those games.

I know the ending. We all do. Yet I still get nervous watching the game.
The game had a weird vibe to it.

Even watching replays of it years later, it doesn’t feel like other Super Bowls. Crowd was quiet throughout, and the game was kind of a grind. Didn’t seem to gain any intensity until the Welker drop.
and there is still the bogus holding call on Boothe

The Giants should have had a lead at halftime instead of being down 1.
Odd how Giant coaches weren't prepared for Patriots

allowing the last TD.

Glad that Hail Mary wasn't caught.
After rewatching it last night,

I felt how odd it was that the Giants scored the first 9 points so quickly, and then they didn’t score again for the rest of the half. The Patriots scored the next 17 points, and their last points scored were early in the 2nd half, that was it for them. For the rest of the game, it was the Eli Manning comeback show.

It was just funny how each team scored in streaks. No real back and forth and multiple lead changes. Very happy the Giants had the final streak for all the marbles though.

Yup. Giants had a bunch of momentum and they were driving when the score was 9-3. Was a terrible call and even John Parry really didn’t agree with it at all.

The Pats were a machine that year, they were just awfully difficult to stop when they were going with the underneath stuff to Hernandez, Welker and the running backs. Gronk was really hurt.

Giants really should have blown them out, but the Pats had bend but don’t break defense
And watching Cruz dance the salsa in the end zone

That was wonderful. What a shame that he had that devastating knee injury.

No matter how many times I’ve rewatched the Hail Mary, I still get nervous. Kenny Phillips half-whiffed when knocking it down, and Gronk came pretty close to it. What a celebration after though
