Rarely do these top QBs pan out. If you can get several 1s and 2s for years to come, you take it. I didn’t even know Burrows name this time last year. Nothing says he’s the next Peyton.
Rumors will be rampant regarding the Draft. they always are. Â
But I do buy that cincy would try and make their way out of this first overall slot. It’s so cincy. And I also buy that burrow doesn’t want to go to cincy.

they get a truckload of picks, sure, it's possible. But I doubt. I still think Cincinnati takes Burrow. It's the silly season. Lots of deliberately disingenuous rumors will be started and continued by the media to try and divert attention from real plans and gain an advantage. Need to see a lot more smoke before thinking there's any fire to this possibility.

And you still don't know his name now so I can see you're not as impressed with him as most are.
Burrow was a 5th year grad student who didn't attend Â
classes. if you put DJ8 on a stacked LSU last year (same age) how do you think he looks? I'm guessing similar.
And I'm guessing Jones wouldn't have performed anywhere near as well as Burrow did this year if Jones was the LSU QB.
Playing in arguably the toughest conference Burrow put up these numbers this year:
5,671 yds.
76.3% completions
60 TDs
6 INT
Burrow is not the first college QB to play with a talented supporting cast. So why haven't other NCAA QBs come close to those stats?
No one know which QB will have the better NFL career. But let's give Burrow the credit he is due and not assume that Jones or any other QB could have accomplished just as much.

I think you missed my point. I’m not trashing the kid, I’m just highlighting that he’s not a sure thing. But a team increases their odds of hitting on talent with multiple first round and second round picks. And if another team is willing to offer up a plethora of picks for years to come, then you should look very seriously at taking it.
The Cinci Franchise is one of the worst franchise in the league Â
If Burrow is the top QB prospect in the league, why would he sign there. The last time they won anything was when Paul Brown was still alive. Brown's family run's the franchise in a less than professional fashion.
I don't know who represents Burrow but I'm fairly certain that the agent wants no part of Cinci.

Here's the thing, are you going to draft more QBs with those picks. Because a team increases their odds odds on hitting on QB talent when they draft at 1 instead of 5.
They have three first round picks #5, #18, and #26. The fifth might still get the Bengals a top QB but again I don't see why anyone would want to play in Cincinnati.

If you get a ton of picks and trade away the 1 spot, that let's you build the rest of the team. And nothing says you won't be picking at the top of the draft the next year, or the team you trade with won't. Not too mention you could take a later round flyer on a guy like Fromm who could end up panning out like Jackson, Wilson, Mahomes, etc... All I'm saying is the LSU kid, who's name I can't spell, is not a sure thing. Having multiple early picks to fill out the rest of your roster can go a long way to getting your team as a whole in a good position for when you might be ready to take a top pick QB. Or inadvertently land you a gem at QB in a later spot while also allowing you to build out more of your team.
This was one of my biggest beefs with DG drafting Saquon, and claiming to never picking up the phone. There is nothing wrong with listening, you never know what happens when teams get desperate.
If DG had traded with NYJ instead of Indy, we'd be in better shape.
That being said, if I'm Burrow, I'm quietly letting the team know that I prefer them to trade the pick (i.e. I'm not playing in CIN), which might be what we are seeing.
If they get a great freight of draft picks, they did to seriously consider moving the pick.
I will say this if Burrow is shit stirring about not going to the Bengals then all bets are off. Anything can happen in that scenario.
+1

Exactly. People'll be choking from the smoke soon.

Yep and beat 7 top 10 teams in the process outplaying Tua, Fromm, Hurts, Lawrence, Ehlinger

Its Miami, Jaxsonville or Vegas. Unless someone has a quality player then can trade for a 1st and enter a deep rebuild.
Chargers could trade Bosa for the ammo. Bucs maybe Mike Evans with Godwins emergence. Bears and Panthers I dont see having anyone they would move
