But the more I see of the 2020 WR prospects, the more I think it's not a question of if the Giants draft one, but when. And among the sizable pool of WR talent are quite a few bigger guys. For example, I was just looking at Denzel Mims and Tee Higgins. Both look like starters, maybe a lot more.
I see ya drafting a WR somewhere in day 2 or early day 3 Â
He's had many opportunities now and hasn't come through. We have enough cap space finally to shop in a higher tier market than this guy if we're going to address the position in free agency.
I want: 1) great hands, 2) excellent route running, and 3) body positioning. I hardly care about size, speed and athleticism. A receiver needs to be at the right place, at the right time, and when the ball comes to him, he catches it.
when you have injuries at the position and are desperate. He is not a guy you sign with the intention of being a starter. He is slow and doesn't have particularly good hands.
If we are going to sign FAs I would hope that the bar is set higher. He drops too many passes for my liking. I live in Carolina and have seen a lot of him. He is not reliable. He is Cody Latimer.
