Means nothing, but figure it would generate a decent discussion.
Giants take Minshew at 6. Jones is the 3rd QB taken to WSH at 15. Darius Slayton goes 1st round along with Dexter Lawrence. DeAndre Baker does not. Link - ( New Window )
but he's shown more than enough to warrant his selection at 6.
And I wasn't at all a Jones fan a priori.
Baker indeed has lots to prove to justify his first round selection, and one wonders if the trade up was the least bit necessary to land him in Blue. But he does have some very good tools - particularly his ability to mirror. And he seems relatively unfazed after a screw up, always important at CB.
"Jones was far from absolutely brutal and made a handful of impressive throws downfield but too often put the ball in harm's way in the air and by way of the fumble."
But how can you begin to say this? Did he even watch Jones throw the ball?

Effectively, they are saying Murray was the best rookie QB by far
Yeah. He must have been throwing himself the ball.

This.
That re-draft, with 20-20 hindsight, is worse than what actually transpired for many teams.
No serious work or analysis went into this at all.
Yes, a click bait article.

Also thought the Minshew instead of Jones would have been with the 17th or 30th pick, not at 6
Jones had some rookie flaws but also did things no other rookie QB has done before. That cant be said about Minshew.

Probably not.
I guess any moron can "write" and article for CBS...

Anyone with half a football brain would be taking Bosa first without any doubt. Truly an elite pass rusher.
