BREAKING: #CU coach Mel Tucker has agreed in principle to become the new head coach at #MichiganState, per sources. After Tucker turned down initial interest, MSU power brokers came back repeatedly to Tucker’s reps w/ an offer that was impossible to ignore
Not sure with this guy because of his history.
I'd question somebody who said they weren't interested in the position.
I have no idea what his salary with the Giants is, but if the ballpark of the MSU job is $5.4M, then why wouldn't Bielema be interested?
I'd sure look at a job that was 5-10 fold my existing salary.
I'd question somebody who said they weren't interested in the position.
Agreed. Now that he's definitely here, it's in his interest to stay focused on his job and do it well. If next offseason comes and he wants to jump ship, that's his business.

nobody except BBI.
We have no idea which coaching hires or player or personnel moves are good.

The opinion of the OP is that it is good news. That is all. I would gather that he wants the coaching staff to stay together for a year or so and not changing coaches or start new searches as there is a lot of analysis and planning to do.
If you are thinking it is not good news, that is your opinion. While we all have to wait and see who will do a good job coaching, it is ok to express an opinion one way or the other.
