A decidedly up and down 1st half at least ending with some hope with big wins over IND and TOR and a near-win in TOR last weekend. Defense improving with Jordan, Allen and Chandler providing muscle in the middle, something that’s been lacking in recent years. If KI can get healthy and STAY healthy, he plus Dinwiddie, LeVert, Harris, Prince can produce solid offensive punch. Atkinson continues to be a coach that players love to play for. Will probably face TOR in 1st round. Nets can easily be that sort of pesky, pain-in-the-ass team that no one wants to play in the playoffs.
I actually thoroughly enjoy being a nets fan. If rooting for a team were based on how much people cares about your team- that would be really sad
When the nets play defense they can beat anyone- when they don’t they can lose to anyone
Going to be a fun couple of months...
I don’t see it happening.
Forgetting Durant it's kind of a tough year to enjoy since Kyrie keeps looking great then getting hurt. Reminiscent of the early DWill/Lopez years together when both kept getting hurt. Hopefully they can manage Kyrie so he's healthy when it actually matters.
All things considered Kenny, Dinwiddie, Jordan, Jarrett Allen, Levert, Harris all looking solid. Kurocs, Musa, Prince disappointing.
The injuries with Kyrie have hurt the Nets, but when he's been healthy, you can really see how skilled he is. All of us Nets fans loved D'angelo Russell, but the upgrade in talent is evident.
I'm not sure that Taurean Prince is a starting 4 on a championship team. He's a nice player and I'm still a fan of the trade for him, but I hope we see him coming off the bench next season or try to flip him in the offseason.
Deandre Jordan has been a nice addition and I feel good about having him as the backup to Allen. None of the Nets bigs could defend Embiid/Marjonovic in last years series with Philly. Jordan will be a nice piece to have come playoff time
Dinwiddie and Harris continue to be fan favorites. It's been awesome to see them both go from unknowns to legitimate pieces on a good team.
I think I might prefer for LeVert to come off the bench with Dinwiddie next season. They are both a bit to ball dominant to play alongside Kyrie and Durant. Re-sign Joe Harris to a fair deal since the team is going deep into the luxury tax and his bird rights are one of the limited ways Brooklyn can add talent. He can start at SG.
Hoping this team can play well together down the stretch and maybe score a first round upset. Think that would add some nice momentum going into next year. Need Kyrie to be healthy.
Dinwiddie continues to get better & better.
I doubt KD returns this season, unless I'm missing something. The Nets will probably get bounced early this spring, but if KD returns & is KD, they'll be scary next year. I really have no animosity towards Brooklyn. They're run a 100% better than the clown car known as the Knicks.

Oh, sure, he looks pretty on a basketball floor with his fancy dribbling and moves. But at the end of the day he’s an albatross to a team. Without LBJ, he’s been a loser in the NBA. One of the most overrated players I have ever seen. I hate that the Nets had to sign the guy to lure KD...
The Nets are so much more interesting without him on the team and on the floor.

It would be really interesting to see the Nets with KD on the floor and KI out with an injury before the season ends. It could open up the possibility of convincing KD that the Nets going forward would be better off trading him

so the Nets can get back to losing.

Zero chance of that happening.
But then again, I don't live on Long Island, the same way you probably don't live in NJ. Selection bias
