NFT: Popular Mechanics summary of UFO reality and coverup

mattlawson : 2/14/2020 10:29 am
"Individuals who worked on the AATIP program say the current uncertainty and confusion was by design and involved a dizzying shell game that’s entirely consistent with how black budget intelligence programs are run. “What you’re dealing with is the very core of government secrecy and how things they absolutely don’t ever want to discuss are kept hidden away,” one former AATIP contractor tells Popular Mechanics."

There is nothing physically impossible about an advanced civilization from another solar system visiting the Earth, in the distant path or now.

These “aliens” are advanced enough to travel between the stars, but aren’t sophisticated enough to either avoid detection (if that is what they want) or to make their presence well known (if that is what they want)

Apply Occam’s Razor

Follow what Sagan wrote about “ extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

I really hope there is a benevolent, technologically advanced civilization visiting us.

Clear, irrefutable evidence please.

Off topic, but what the hell happened to this magazine

wouldn't a certain senior elected official in the U.S. government, who has shown himself to speak and tweet impulsively, have let it slip by now?

This theory can't be plausible unless you assume that military is keeping it a secret even from this certain individual. Which assumes a much bigger conspiracy and constitutional crisis, given that individual's elected position.

If not, you assume, that this person can keep a secret like this. Which is fine, but some might disagree.

EXACTLY THIS.

Yes, it's fun to imagine aliens, but folks, you better pray to God no advanced race (of which there are likely many) EVER finds us.

If an advanced race were to arrive here, they'd be looking for resources, not friendship.

tentative conclusion is that aliens are currently or have observed us, but not surprisingly are not interested in interacting. They likely consider any deliberate interaction pointless given their enormous technological advantage. But they might not care if we occasionally detect them. They might in fact want us to do so, since testing our defenses is a way of studying us and our technology.

Governments are known liars, but it would be extremely difficult to keep secret that we have had contact with extraterrestrials. That would require thousands of people to be completely quiet for decades, more if we include people from other countries. (Why would aliens only contact the United States?)

Aliens would likely have no interest in our planet or resources, a la "War of the Worlds" or "Independence Day." They could undoubtedly manufacture whatever they want. If they were interested in the planet, it would probably be to save it from us as in "The Day the Earth Stood Still."

Carl Sagan did make the statement that "extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof." But he also used very optimistic numbers in the famous "Drake Equation" that is designed to asses the likelihood of intelligent life in the universe.

The contrary arguments are that despite constant study for decades we have no definitive proof of extraterrestrial contact, and that there are many convincing reasons why intelligent life capable of interstellar travel could be extraordinarily rare.

It was just published, the author teased it yesterday. While nothing new and earth shattering is there if you've followed the bunny trail thus far - and have believed the revelations to be truthful - there are a couple of things worth noting that clarifies the govt position.

The documents provided to PM prove that these prior disclosed programs are real, are still in operation, and Luis Elizondo has been truthful. It also confirms that the subject has been UFO/UAP in nature as the Pentagon has released conflicting statements on that.

Now it's clear as day - they're real and they are spectacular.

If you read the article - they cannot disclose what they have or whether or not such evidence even exists, how they've collected it, etc.

That we've gone from "UFO's don't exist you nut job" to "military admits ufo's exist" in 2017 and now "we've secretly been studying them but are afraid to admit what we've found" in 2020 is a start toward wider disclosure.

Admitted operatives for the govt have come forward from multiple sides suggesting these phenomenon are real, there has been a coverup, a disinformation campaign, and systemic oppression of the truth. Get your popcorn ready.

anybody can show me.

If UFO's crash (weird since they are so advanced) as often as some would have you believe, why is it that every single time, the Government is always there first without fail? Not once has there ever been a news crew to broadcast live from a UFO crash site that got there before the government? Film me a dazed alien walking around his UFO crash where a street reporter interviews an alien post crash, and I will buy it..

Frankly, if you think about it, there's probably more evidence for the existence of Bigfoot.

You raise a valid point, but I would believe that this could be the result of the government(s) having access to radar and other tracking equipment to know where/when these things occur?

I am not quite sure what to believe, though I would not be surprised to learn there is life out there.

Well then I query you this, my friend -

Why do UFO's never crash around a populated area...it's always deep in the woods somewhere...one has one never crashed in the middle of Houston, Cleveland, or Poughkeepsie, for that matter?

You again raise a valid concern/point, one which I was thinking of as I typed my previous post. I wouldn't be surprised if there were no aliens, but again, I wouldn't be surprised if there was. The video towards the top of that article from the F-18 from the Nimitz group I think is very interesting to say the least.

No. He has actually been asked about this two or three times, once on Tucker Carlson, and the fact that he didn't laugh or make fun of the questions by saying something about little green men, says A LOT.

Also, related to the question of why would they allow themselves to be seen... if you followed the phenomenon closely for a long period of time, you eventually realize that logic goes out the window fast. Why should we understand anything about it if it actually is an advanced civilization.

Quite a straw man there. You simply don't know what you don't know. Here we have government sources telling you this phenomenon is real, they study it continually, and are afraid to release their conclusions and the goal posts move to needing to see something out of a bad Hollywood movie to be believed.

No. It doesn’t say much of anything. You have a point of view and you’re allowing that to steer you to your preferred conclusion.

If anything, the individual’s impulsive nature means his response implies he doesn’t know anything which, as previously mentioned, raises the most likely conclusions that either A) there’s nothing to really know beyond what is public or B) there is a constitutional crisis level conspiracy within the government over this (certainly not the Occam’s razor solution).

More recently, last December, when asked by Conway Daily Sun reporter Daymond Steer about the Navy UAP encounters, recent presidential candidate and current member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Sen.
