on back to back nights as Igor is still out with the ankle injury but is closer according to DQ.
The bigger story is WTH is going on with Hank? I get the whole Igor thing, but Georgie on back to back nights in a must win game to keep their slight playoff hopes alive?
Is Georgie being showcased or Hank being pushed out or both?
TDA is out tonight and is listed as day to day and the Rangers called up Joey Keane who is having a breakout year at Hartford. Keane will wear 44 if he is active. #LGR

Artemi Panarin has recorded 31 points (nine goals, 22 assists) in his last 19 games; his 22 assists and 31 points since the NHL's Holiday Break are both the most in the league over the span. #NYR
DQ has been up front about this. He's playing the GK he thinks gives the team the best chance to win, I think the players respect that. DQ is not going to Mara Henrik.
Henrik can stand by his paycheck, which he has a right to do. It is what it is, until some team wants Eli, I mean the King, in the late twilight of his career.

Agree. Hank is number 3 and DQ knows it. He is doing what it takes to win games now.
My guess is management is trying to push Hank out the door and get him to waive his NMC. Doubt there’s a taker out there for him though.
Great start by the way.
Georgiev with the great save on the breakaway.
Keep it going boys.
Put the third period on with the whole family watching - Rangers made a few more fans tonight. Great effort and fun to watch.
Yes, MAB, he gave up 3, Igor maybe gets the 2nd, no way the 3rd, and I acknowledge the love and respect for Henrik, same for #10, but it's time to move on, and Georgy is no Geno, he's legit. If he is dealt, I hope it's better terms than they got for Talbot.
You cannot fail to see the bond between and among Zib, Kreider, and Buch, special, conundrum #2.
Can JD fashion gold from a slurry of questions?
Great win. JP, name it for arc

The Rangers' 26 regulation wins this season are tied for the fifth-most in the NHL, are the fourth-most in the Eastern Conference (trailing only Boston, Tampa Bay, and Washington), and are the second-most in the Metropolitan Division. #NYR
???? I only watched the beginning but the write-ups I read indicated they were two tired teams making mistakes and Georgy basically 'saved' the day on the Rangers' side.
He stopped 36/37 shots with a .973 save %.
What more can you expect?

Nice find. Flip of last year in this respect.

- Rangers have no one, no one, who draws a clear line against opponents taking liberties vs the Rangers' skills-heavy, intimidation-light team. After Georgiev's solid save vs semi-break by Donato, he slashed Georgiev across the chest and Trouba immediately went after Donato, landed a punch or two before they went down, both sent off for roughing.
Later in the game a solid, clean center ice check vs. Brodin. Lindgren is a distant second, but the Rangers have no one on the team who commands respect vs physical shenanigans of the other team, no one.
- he is playing a solid back line. If he was overpaid--and he was--not his 'fault'.
- if you think he is such a devalued player, sure, trade him now and see what kind of return you get for him with that contract.
It's poorly thought out, Vanz.
If Rangers trade any of their d-men, it should be Skjei, way overpaid.

As said above, re-watched the game. First goal, Georgiev was screened by Skjei, who knelt in attempt to block Donato's shot, it deflected off Skjei's leg, and fluked in. 2nd goal, a quick backhander that Georgiev maybe should have stopped, it was bang, band. 3rd goad, double deflection. Georgiev came up big in 3rd and in OT. It was a good outing.
btw, Wild disallowed a goal because Dumba interfered; it was reviewed to determine if d'Angelo pushed Dumba into Georgiev, something to that. 2nd time in two nights #77 is late, behind a defender, that results in contact with his keeper.....
