NFT: Introducing Ryan Garcia the next boxing super star

Archer : 2/15/2020 9:28 am
For two years My son has been touting Ryan Garcia as a up and coming fighter
He sends me his crazy work out videos

I was suspect as while Ryan was undefeated his opponents were questionable.

After his fight yesterday against a top fighter I am convinced

First time seeing this kid. Impressive to say the least.
Been watching Ryan Garcia

Since his first fight. He is highly impressive and his power has grown. With that being said, Vasily Lomanchenko, Gervonta Davis, Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney are the top dawgs at Lightweight and until RG faces a real challenge then he won’t be considered a superstar. He’s been ducking Haney for a while now, it’s about time for him to face real challengers.
Garcia

Garcia is 21 and just refining his craft
He has insane skills
His hand and foot speed is very impressive
Garcia is developing serious power especially with his left hook

There are a lot of good fighters that he will have to overcome to become great but that will make watching his ascendancy all the more impressive
Kid looks real good

Too bad they had to ruin his moment with multiple takes of that idiot Logan Paul's reaction
Fonseca

Has beaten a bunch of PIES. He trains hard and his videos are motivation but this guy has been fighting and winning against bums!
I'll tell you what is scary about Ryan Garcia IMO
M.S. : 2/15/2020 1:00 pm : link

He can knock you out with a short left jab.

Not too many boxers can do that.
I follow RG but...
BCD : 2/15/2020 1:11 pm : link
he needs to stay away from Davis for a few years and bill up his record and skills before getting in the ring with that little beast thug...
Those are some fast hands!

Is a special punch
And it’s hard to prepare for and stop.
Would love to see the guys in that division fight each other
Call me when he fights and wins against the best there is right now

I acctually thought to my self, this looks like a fight for "NO MAS" Chenko.
I like his footwork

countering a jab, straight right with his left hook. It looks beautiful, but I don't think it'd ever happen without his reach advantage.

Not to take away at all, it was brilliant.
all well and good
RasputinPrime : 2/16/2020 5:55 pm : link
but i'm not getting excited for 135 fights.
Apologies for taking the thread

in a different direction, but I haven't been to the fights in years and only recently started watching again.

My stupid question is, has anyone been to Barclays Center? Seems like they always have a decent card and the tickets are reasonably priced. Good atmosphere? Worth going? Not a bad place to spend the night in the nosebleeds? TIA!
The worst part..
FatMan in Charlotte : 2/17/2020 11:02 am : link
of this is that Ryan Garcia could indeed be the best fighter out there, but his chance of being the next boxing super star, even if he''s the best in history is very tiny.

Nobody gives a shit anymore.

The days of boxing superstars have been lapped by the days of top unicyclists.
