But Jones and Slayton, we really really have something there. Some of Jones' throws now, not in the heat of watching a game are just perfect and Slayton is that dangerous as a rookie who still needs work on route running, hands and recognition. That may be a home run draft.
Both in the games that we lost and shouldn't have, plus the fact we never got to see the team with Jones, Barkley, Engram, Tate, Shepard, Slayton all healthy at the same time.
against the skins 3/4 the way through shows #25 Chris "Mud shoe" Thomspon trying to tackle him. This part had me laughing and it shows how good he is in the open field!

Agreed. Something about Slayton reminds me of Amani Toomer. I don't think he'll ever be a star but you can see that mentality that can make him one of those reliable, integral players who rise to the occasion when needed. I also think Golden Tate was vastly underappreciated. The guy was a YAC machine and made some very difficult grabs. Would like to see him back next year. Also, that TE kid Kaden Smith is a keeper and is only going to get better.
If we ever have Barkley, Engram, Shepard, Tate, Slayton, Smith, and Gallman or Penny available at the the same time the coaches would have all the parts needed to mix and match against most defenses. Add one more high performing WR and Jones should have all the options he needs to be dangerous... assuming a decent OL of course :).
What a wet and smelly turd of a season.
