The #AZCardinals have agreed with OT D.J. Humphries on a three-year, $45 million deal with $30m over the first 2 years, $29m guaranteed, sources say.
that the union was encouraging players to sign shorter deals with more guaranteed money because they aren't sure what the next labor contract looks like and players have realized it's better to get less guaranteed money than sign huge back-loaded contracts that they'll never see because they'll get cut before the money years kick in.

in FA. I think this deal drives up the price for Conklin. If any of the top OTs grade as top 10 picks I have no problem grabbing them at 4. You have to take into account the salary cap when drafting. Positions like OT, ER and CB have to get an extra look just because of the price tag. If its close you have to take the position that offers the better value. Plus as a 1st rounder you get control for 5 years where other rounds are only 4.
Makes sense.
Buckle up. There's going to be a lot of money being thrown around this FA.

^ = positional value.
You draft bpa when adjusted for positional value.
You sign lower PVs in FA
