Yes, the horror of the too-soft, too-involved parents. When you say “go back to when ...,” what decade/era are you talking about? I bet some of the folks during that alleged golden period would disagree it was better.

And think that over political correctness and social media is definitely a bad thing but the "pussification of america" thing and talking about how everyone has it too easy said on this board quite often is also dickish. If I had to assume I would say that most who harp the loudest about it here are white men (like me) who through no fault of our own have had it historically and generally easier than any other group in America.

I couldn’t disagree more, I think that is sending an outstanding message to the youth. At least in my opinion. Get caught cheating, and no one will want to associate with you. Even if you won the World Series.

Donning that Little League uni doesn't make the kids cheaters. Maybe adults should teach kids THOSE sorts of things. That these were grown men behaving awfully. Has nothing at all to do with the laundry.

I’ve got mixed emotions on this one. Kid who isn’t kid enough, yeah parents holding him back a year or moving - doing absolutely nothing for the kid but harm. In those situations, I find it isn’t about the kids well being - but about the parents ego and Facebook posting.

But there’s a high school I know, insanely competitive every year, nationally ranked etc. know a good lefty pitcher, didn’t make the team. Now to put it in perspective. His senior season we are talking a 6’6” lefty. That alone should get you a spot on any HS team. Oh, also hit upper 80s. Not exactly draft quality, but the kid didn’t make his HS team!!! Was good enough to almost get a full ride to college though. Did. Not. Make his HS team... insanity at some of these schools...

Baby boomers had every advantage known to man - born into a post-WWII booming American economy after their parents and grandparents endured the Great Depression and World Wars and handed them a country at the height of its powers.
