Doesn't look too serious

And so it begins..........

Next Compartment Syndrome, then amputation....the life of a Met's fan!
Non-issue

even with the Mets luck. Lowrie on the other hand... what a comedy.. and he still wouldn't explain what his injury is/was. Looks like he can only backup 2b.. if he can play at all. 20 million down the drain jeez Louise.
Don't know why this is a story.

Call me when Cespedes gets kicked by one of his horses.
Are we ever going to get the full details of why the Cohen deal fell through? Was it Manfred or the Wilpons?
Cespedes is hitting absolute bombs

during BP. Beat writers all seem to be impressed.

Going to be really interesting to see Cespedes in a contract year.

not connected to any of the top IFA's per Longenhagen/Badler. Sounds about right lol
I have not seen Cespedes run

Three videos of him stretching, hitting and working out.

Might just be a coincidence. But as a longtime Mets fan, I’m of course skeptical

He apparently HAS run. Strangely little video I agree.

says he's not talking to the reporters all season. lol.

not sure if serious.

I guess he knows he's going to get peppered with questions about wild boars and holes on his property.

Buster Olney
@Buster_ESPN
Left-hander Scott Kazmir, pushing for a comeback at age 36, will begin to throw for teams this week. He has not pitched in the big leagues since 2016.

Did you see him talking to reporters?? What a tool. This "knee brace alleviates my symptoms so I can feel like myself" is ridiculous... Top 5 least favorite Mets all time for me simply because of how shady he is.
I side with Cespedes on the wild boar issue.
SuperRonJohnson : 2/18/2020 6:53 pm : link
If anyone knows anything about wild boars, they should know that they can be aggressive and nasty. I live less than 2 miles from the Met's spring training center and we have had wild boars in our neighborhood come after people.
Lowrie is day to day
Shecky : 2/18/2020 7:48 pm : link
Oh, my bad, wrong spring training
I'm really disappointed in Cespedes
allstarjim : 2/18/2020 11:05 pm : link
I don't buy his story, I think he's been shady and the fact he agreed to the massive pay cut he took tells me he had some fault for what happened.

That said, can you imagine if he comes back and legit provides 35-45 homeruns this year and is that middle of the order presence he was? With McNeil, Alonso, Conforto, J.D. Davis and whatever Cano can provide, along with him, the Mets will have one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball. In fact, they are very dangerous without him.

I have concerns about the rotation but this team is going to score a lot of runs.

At least we know WHAT is wrong with Cespedes... even if people still question HOW it happened...

Lowrie won't even tell anyone WHAT is wrong with him. It's the most absurd thing I've ever witnessed in pro sports related to an injury.

Guy has soreness, guy missed almost full year except for some gimpy at bats, guy comes to spring training following season wearing a thigh to ankle brace and then refuses to talk about whatever is wrong with him.

It makes NO sense.. what am I missing?
