How low?
Zero chance he sits out the year and goes #1 next year.

Trevor Lawrence says “hello”.

So he either takes a 4 year $36 million guaranteed salary with Cindy or hope he gets traded at or after the draft if he puts up a stink and hope the preferred team agrees to pay him the top pick money.

Hello...what the fuck with the hieroglyphs?
It could be all a ploy BUT, there sure

seems like something brewing there where Burrow may be pushing his way somewhere else. The Bengals hold the draft cards but Burrow holds the cards as far as playing and Eli could easily be his blue print to follow. The question is though where would you want to force your way to?

Miami- seems like a great destination for parties, promotion and coverage BUT, are they built better to win now?

Detroit- they have a QB already and have not been a winning franchise.

LAC- they could be a target but if I am the Bengals I want their 1st, Bosa and a 1st next year.

Oak- this one is a possibility but the cost to move up would basically be two #1's this year, 3rd this year and #1 next year. Perhaps Carr as well.

One sneaky option- Washington! Skins trade with Bengals, sending their 1st rd pic and Haskins to the Bengals. The Bengals get Young and have a young QB to build around.

Ok, so I’m not the only one? I’ve had these weird ass “symbols” showing up all over posts for about a week now. Thought it was just me since nobody else has said a word bout it

IMO

Good wrs (Boyd, Ross, Tate and possibly Green)
Good Rb (Mixon)
Have good young pieces on the oline (Price and Williams both 1st rd picks)

Some good defenders in Atkins ,Dunlap, Dre Kirkpatrick, Billings,

Plus some cash to spend in a FA (44 mil) to add depth.

Just started today with me. Anybody ask the mods about a fix?
I don't think he cares

where he goes, as long as it's not to Cincy. Just because you grow up someplace, doesn't mean you want to spend the rest of your life there.

There is a pinned thread where Gary asks members to report site issues.
There's definitely something brewing here.

This isn't the language a guy would use if he were happy with his presumed destination. You'd hear the usual "Doesn't matter to me where I'm picked" or even "If I end up in Cincinnati I think that's a good situation".

Burrow's been saying these kind of passive aggressive things publicly, so who knows what he and his camp are saying privately.

As far as sitting out and re-entering the draft next year (and being #2 behind Lawrence), if it comes down to it, he may decide that's better for his career than going to Cincinnati. He's not from Cincinnati anyway, he's from almost 3 hours away. That's like saying someone from Wilmington, Delaware is local to New York.
he better use that leverage
mdc1 : 2/18/2020 5:36 pm : link
as he is ordinary stuff without an elite team. That LSU team made him look like a superhero. Could be a big let down for the team that drafts him. Can you imagine running the boards till half-time with his crew then sitting out the 2nd half in most games....Tua has the same issue.
but I can understand why not Cincy

do they have their own beer, etc?

It comes down to the Browns owner imo

Yes. What if Burrow says he won't play for them and the Browns owner drafts him anyway for example?

You are confusing the owner of the Bengals who is Mike Brown. The Browns are not in position to draft Burrow.
Thanks Diver

That's what I meant.....whoops.
The Ringer had an article earlier about this.
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 2/18/2020 8:48 pm : link
Apparently Burrow's trainer is Carson Palmer's brother. Palmer said in a radio interview recently that that the organization is not committed to winning.

This might have legs. A lot of smoke here recently re. Burrow pulling an Eli.
Phil Simms son just ate both his feet discussing this w/ Florio online
lcrim : 2/18/2020 11:40 pm : link
The mistake about the Cincy owner who is Mike Brown, another knucklehead, but son of Paul Brown, the man who founded the Browns.
Burrow doesn't have the clout that the Mannings had when Eli got drafted by San Diego (now Ca.Chargers)
Brown gets his piece of the pie and basically that's all he cares about.
Dolphins owner, according to Florio, w/ all those picks to offer wants Burrow now. So maybe it works out.
Ross is OL and want to win.
LauderdaleMatty : 2/19/2020 7:14 am : link
He’s just had shitty GMs and worse coaches. That they won a single game w that team was a miracle. Get the. A real QB and Brady maybe moving on Miami hoping for a trade miracle like the one that brought Shaq to town. Tua is always hurt and no one knows if Herbert is going to ever translate to the NFL. If Cincy will trade at all its worth it

And we all know Cincy is fine w mediocrity. It’s a miracle they ever fired Marvin Lewis. Burrow mist be horrified at being stuck there for 5 years minimum.
Burrow
TyreeHelmet : 2/19/2020 8:33 am : link
If I’m him I am doing whatever it takes to avoid Cincy.
I dont think Burrow can sit out this year
Rudy5757 : 2/19/2020 9:50 am : link
You never make that money back. You sit out a year who knows how far you fall in the draft. Who knows which college QB steps up and passes you just like he came out of nowhere. Plus the CBA issue, you dont know whats in store for rookies in the next CBA. It could be better or it could be worse.

If you are guaranteed to be the #1 pick you take it. He can try to force Cincy to trade but in the end he should just go where he is drafted. I didnt like it when Eli did it but it did work out. I think he would have played for SD if there was no trade. If I am Cincy I would only trade if I got Miamis 3 #1s, Rosen and some additional picks.
The Patriots might trade their whole draft for him
