While several teams seem to be paring down their contingents in Indy for the Combine, relying on video rather than in-person meetings, I’m told the Giants are sending their full staff. So... all aboard!
The only reason it’s newsworthy is some teams are cutting back
The Rams and Broncos had decided to not send a full contingent
“ In what could portend the wave of the future, the Broncos are not sending their assistant coaches to the scouting combine in Indianapolis this year because they believe they will make better use of their time by watching film in Denver, league sources told ESPN on Friday. Additionally, the Rams are not sending their offensive and defensive coordinators, Kevin O'Connell and Brandon Staley, to the combine because they would rather have them in Los Angeles implementing the team's new offensive and defensive schemes, sources said.
In a copycat league, the Broncos and Rams could be establishing a trend that other teams will follow, leaving coaches behind to watch the combine on television and do their own scouting work in the office.“
I am surprised more teams do not do it? For the money these teams have how much could it cost to have the entire staff go to the combine?
Let each coach evaluate the players that the will be coaching. The more eyes on ... the less 1 or 2 guys have to evaluate all the positions and be responsible for.

Sean McVay's only spending one night in Indy, and his new coordinators aren't going to the combine at all.
Judge in his comments about roster flexibility commented about wanting to understand how guys move, what kinds of athletes they are, etc. Need is to understand what these guys are capable of doing physically.
I wonder if the shadow delegation will be in attendance
“ A week after Midnight Mel Tucker bolted for Michigan State, Colorado athletic director Rick George continues searching for the school’s next football coach. He is working through interviews and looking to set up others as he tries to find the right fit, a source told Denver7 on Tuesday.
The school has contacted former Buffaloes legendary player and current Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. Per source, Bieniemy remains in the mix for the job, and clarity about his candidacy should crystallize soon as he returns from a planned vacation following the Super Bowl LIV victory.
According to an NFL Network report, CU is expected to interview former Wisconsin and Arkansas boss Bret Bielema. He seeks to return to the college game after coaching with the Patriots and recently joining the Giants as an outside linebackers coach. Bielema produced success at Wisconsin, posting a 68-24 record in seven seasons. It did not, however, translate at Arkansas where he went 29-34 before his dismissal.”

Have confirmed from source that AFA coach Troy Calhoun interviewed for CU job... School moving closer to resolution. Bielema in play, Sarkisian expected to be, and Calhoun strongly in mix

I have been told #CUBuffs have interest in Alabama OC Steve Sarkisian and he could interview. Fluid situation as they say. Sark has strong ties to Pac 12. Had ugly exit from USC. Rebounded with NFL Falcons and Bama

Told this morning from multiple sources that Bieniemy not moving forward for CU job. Will be top candidate to land NFL spot after this season. Bielema remains in mix. Have not independently confirmed AFA’s Troy Calhoun interviewed. But he makes sense as candidate

Would be truly funny if the AD there really wanted Bienemy, but instead extended an offer to Bielema because of clerical error.

No offense but this sounds stupid to me, like beyond stupid. Their time could be better served watching film? Is this 1970 where they have to set up old ass projectors of 8 mm film? Everything is digital now. They cannot watch film and be in Indy at the same time?
Oh, but they want to work on installing their system? Are they illegally meeting with players to do this now? Of do they mean coming up with concepts and plays that can also be done in Indy?
This just sounds like cheapness to me.
RE: Any chance mayock gets fired in the next week...
How many cooks do you need in the friggin' kitchen ?????
Depends on how many people you're feeding, and how big your kitchen is, I suppose. Also, you might need to have a separate facility and staff for people with certain food allergies, or dietary needs/preferences (gluten-free, vegan, etc.). So, you might need a whole lot of cooks.

Bielema has been assigned to patrol Broadrippple to see if any of the prospects have better game than him with the co-eds.
Depends - are there any significant horse races during the combine?

Lou, for the Hauchinango a la Veracruzana, do you put the shrimp in at the same time as the cod and cook for 20 minutes?

Who is going to run the 40 in his place?
Quote:
so we can get him back on the combine and Draft shows?
Who is going to run the 40 in his place?
Huh? Mayock has never run the 40. Eisen has and that is for charity.
