C Tyler Biadasz of Wisconsin

Anakim : 2/19/2020 3:22 pm
What exactly happened to him? I remember a lot of you guys were saying he was one of the best C prospects to come out in years and now? I read that he may not even go on Day 2. I read he got banged up this season, but is that the only reason for his drop?
As I recall, Sy'56 said that there was some pretty ugly tape on him.
Klaatu : 2/19/2020 3:25 pm : link
But he didn't elaborate. I'm sure he will when he does his pre-draft write-ups.
Having a young C
SCGiantsFan : 2/19/2020 3:31 pm : link
Young, strong and quality center would be a welcome addition.
Looking forward to Sy's write up's on the OLine
I don't think he continued

his upward rise in the same slope.

Tough and smart but I'm far from an expert but I deign to say he's better than anything we have now.
So if we want in rd 2 should be there
Payasdaddy : 2/19/2020 3:46 pm : link
But may not warrant it? RUIZ might be a nice pick there if him and LSU C arent picked in first 36.
think at 36 may be a good place to trade down 5-8 spots and see if u 3
Payasdaddy : 2/19/2020 3:47 pm : link
or even a spot or 2 to grab a 4
We have holes
Need around 7-8 rookies to come in and earn spots
NFL.com’s write up
Mattman : 2/19/2020 3:53 pm : link
Says he lacks power and can be pushed around. Lunges and thrown off balance. Basically says he’s maxed out potential with limited lateral quicks

Says he’s an early starter though.

Still better than whit we have

I have really warmed up to either of these 3 players at Center:
shocktheworld : 2/19/2020 4:22 pm : link
Lloyd Cushenberry III, from LSU

Cesar Ruiz from Michigan

Matt Hennessy from Temple

Great trio of really nice players and could be had in round late 2nd to early 4th depending on the which site you trust for rankings.

I think we pray one of these 3 are there for us at the end of round 3 or early 4th.

All will be really good players at the next level, IMO. My favorite is “Cush” he’s the total package.

I think you're confusing him with Creed Humphrey.
with Humphries staying in...

Ruis is the #1 OC in this draft. I also like Cushenberry but I think he's more of a late 2nd/early 3rd round guy.

Cesar Ruiz. Best center in draft
A big let down for a team needing a center
aGiantGuy : 2/19/2020 5:02 pm : link
If you compare Biadasz 2018 film to 2019, you see two completely different players. He had offseason hip surgery so maybe he didn’t get all his mobility back before he decided to play but the film was not good.

I can totally get behind that pick. He’s a smart, technical, total package player at center. Lots of experience... plug and play., IMO. Ruiz is a stud
per walter football,
Del Shofner : 2/19/2020 5:26 pm : link
Biadasz still 1st, Ruiz 4th and Cushenberry 9th among centers in this draft. I didn't watch these guys enough to have an opinion, but it looks like some pretty major differences in opinion out there on Cs this year.
walter football ranking of Cs - ( New Window )

Should guarantee the Giants get him in round 2.

It’s the same shit every year w Wisconsin OL. They drop for dumb reasons and then NFL teams end up with steals.

It probably hurt him losing linemates Edwards and Deiter...

Exactly
Teams will need to do their homework on Biadasz

In talking to his coaches at Wisconsin. I think his falloff in performance was due to his offseason hip surgery and missing spring practice in 2019.
He was very good in 2017 and 2018.

Jon, do you have a take on Biadasz?
The

question is his hip injury, since that was most likely why his play declined in 2019. He was really good in 2017 and 2018. If he's recovered, I'd strongly consider him at the bottom of the third round.
I thought he looked very ordinary this year

both in pass pro and run blocking. I was surprised and disappointed.

He looked like shit in the Rose Bowl, but I didn't notice a noticeable drop off throughout the year. The injury issues are very real though, and I have no doubt he was playing through something. Probably not worth the late 1st-early 2nd he was projected as, but if we still had our early 3rd I'd swoop in.

I doubt he will last that long.
This ... which of course leads me back to the Leonard Williams disaste

I agree and wouldn’t it be really nice.. really nice to have the 68th pick in the draft to take any of these 3 that’s still standing ? Instead we can have Leonard Williams and 15.5 million be the cap. So the 68th player I’m this draft at 4 years 9 million? Ba Leonard Williams at one year and 15.5. That’s the trade this fucking buffoon gettlemen made. I want to hear from toothus how thats a good move for this fucking franchise. I hate gettelmen. Only someone with shit for brains would make that trade. No sense. None. He could have had Leonard Williams I’m free agency if he wanted a non pass rushing ok against the run defensive tackle. Unreal. Just unreal.
Sorry for the typos
