Most likely the worst Prem team but in one match anything can happen. MLS is more on the level of the Championship which is the second league in England but even then those teams would probably win.
team in the MLS. English Championship is also a top 10 league in teh world, and those teams are also better than the best MLS team. MLS is more like League One in England.
If the players in the MLS were good enough, they’d be in Europe.
To me, the analogy is asking if the best team in the XFL
can beat the worst in the NFL .... I don’t think so.
That isn’t really true. The EPL has direct access to their own talent in their own country, something difficult for Americans to have the same opportunity to do. You’d essentially need all top US players to stop playing here, forget playing HS soccer and prepping for college, and move to the UK for it to maybe work out. That likely includes also having their family move there too.

I was referring to the quality of MSL players vs the broader European leagues; the 1st (or even 2nd) divisions in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Scotland, etc vs just the EPL. The USA player development models are still years behind the ROW.
a whole, not just the EPL
put MLS somewhere around #20 in the world (give or take). So in line with the top leagues in places like Denmark, Turkey, etc. Premier league is usually #1, with top leagues like Spain, Germany, and Italy right behind. The English Championship is usually around 10 give or take.
One off game who knows, anything could happen. But the worst team in the Premier League would win MLS and the best team in MLS would get relegated in the Premier League. The level is just much lower overall. I have a season ticket for NYCFC and it’s honestly jarring to watch when you see a Premier League game in the morning and then watch MLS the same day, the drop off is tremendous.
There are many times at MLS games I wonder why I am paying to watch it.

Idk about best league in the world, think la liga has always been better imo..premier league just gets more publicity here. But agree that a bottom table epl team would beat the best MLS team

La Liga has no depth. The EPL type of soccer would wear down La Liga players also. The speed in La Liga would rip up EPL though so it's all very interesting.
both MC and Liverpool are just as good as any top team in the world, this year Liverpool is probably the clear #1. However the real strength of the PL is the depth. Even the bottom teams are good. La Liga, and others, just don't have the top to bottom depth of the PL in my opinion

I think an argument could definitely be made either way, especially now that liverpool won champions last year. I just feel imo that the PL has always been overrated.
For example Liverpool has yet to lose in the premier league (theyve won all of their games but one), but has lost to Napoli who currently sit 6th in Italy, and Atletico who currently sit at 5th in Spain. Tottenham just dropped to Leipzig at home. I’m not convinced yet, but we’ll see I guess.

Tottenham lost their 2 forwards, one of which is arguably their best player (Kane).
and would easily win MLS if they played a full season here. Most of the teams in the top half of the English Championship (2nd division) would also be the top team in MLS.
No MLS team has ever won the CONCACAF Champions League, which is the comparison between MLS teams and Liga MX, a stronger league than MLS but also not on the Prem's level
MLS is getting better and is fun to watch however.

In baseball terms they are single A compared to the EPL.
I cannot watch an entire MLS game on TV.
