fact that fans (BBI) are much more heavily invested EMOTIONALLY in the fortunes of the team and that the media is more heavily invested in career and employment opportunities in the progress of the team.
While the Giant management is just trying to go about its cold hard evaluation, assumptions, and suppositions on the state and progress of the team as best it can; an estimate of the performance/$ cost ratio of the 53 present and future players.
And so he tries to explain his attitude in his own way but the audience as per the above doesn't like it.

No, we need to keep him so he can defend the XFL's shittiest uniforms..lol
I’m not falling for this banana in a tailpipe scenario again. Last time, I spent 4 hours clicking on a Giants helmet on Warren Sapp’s website, he signed with the Raiders and all we got was carpal tunnel.

It could be that they both suck. I know binary scenarios are easier to understand, so I get why you'd prefer to frame it this way, but there's a whole range of scenarios, many of which include them both being the wrong GM. I know there's no concrete evidence for you, so you haven't landed on those possibilities yet, but you'll get there. Looking forward to your victory lap when you do.
In case you were wondering who inspired the "ok boomer" meme...

The only way to tell is to give DG the same timeframe as JR. But that won't fit your agenda so instead, you'll play make-believe and adjust it to the angle of your argument whether factual or not.
I'm taking my victory lap now while you run to another thread and play this game
That's one thing about most of what Judge says (minus the weird PB&J analogy) - it's not going to be played back against him in the future.

I don't have an agenda. I have a fucking brain and my patience is wearing thin with this fucking blowhard at the helm.
We both agree this is a bad time for NYG football. We both agree it has gone on too long.
We both agree his mouth in front of the media is just not up to par.
We may not like him but the key questions are:
Should he be saddled with the size of the blame he is often assigned?
Was someone else better?
Those are questions I don't know the answer to.
These GM jobs are loaded with post decision looking mistakes. That's true of the many many bad calls on talents and drafting that BB has made for one example. Ditto Polian and Elway and Ozzie Newcome
I think we need to assume 50% is going to be the call average over time. But the memorable GM's all made some big calls they got right.
This guys history is attached to a lot of positive outcomes both before he went to Carolina. Certainly the Carolina job contained some positive outcomes.
As for his time here:
Imo, the whole FO and ownership got the Eli decline timing and contract and team build up and OBJ contract call wrong. I don't know when the grudge for that runs out for most fans but at this point its an emotional grudge and feels silly to me. Its a sport. It shouldn't have that much purchase on our enjoyment of life
1) He did call the OBJ trade right. As time goes on that was the correct call. And absent a contract he was not tradeable.
2) Time has shown he got decent value overall for Vernon, Snacks, Collins, and a few others.
3) The book on DJ is not yet written and that will matter a lot
4) He appears to be full oar in the water recruiting and helping JJ. That also has to play out.
From what I can tell, he has pushed the organizations capabilities and rigor further ahead
I don't think whatever happens with Williams will satisfy the easy criticism. That also has to play out on the field until the emotions can match a more proven (and DT is a very hard position to "prove") pay vs performance.
Like any GM there are clear head scratcher selections and contracts where the player has not performed.
I suspect Shurmur was the 4 or 5th choice and time was late to select a good staff. I also don't know how much PS was a Mara selection after being turned down by the two prior candidates who were offered the job.
Where I come out when I look at the whole sweeping story is a fear that we are now torturing data to support an emotion. When we do that we no longer see clearly.
Lastly, unfortunately, we are going to have to be patient a long year ahead. I think the signs are not going to be the record but rather if we win some games we were not supposed to because we adjusted in game or had a game plan that knocked off a better team. If DJ can be average in his second year but carry the full load (not the safe limitations of his baby steps year under PS) and cut turnovers in year two.
Will this years FA/draft play out well? Going to need a whole year to tell that. Connecting every bump in a development road to DG is not good analysis or fun to read
Im not sensing that unknowable factoids, time still inconclusive DG hate is a focus applied to the right important indicators in 2020.
Its a hard time to be a fan and I don't know that many DG assessments are properly sized reasons for the disappointment and I sure don't think further DG parsing at this time is the leading indicator of where we will be in 2021.
But that's where I am coming out. Its just a site, so freedom does reign

Evaluating a GM is the least of his mental gaps. Shitting on Barkley every chance he can is really what highlights his lack of intelligence.
Calling Barkley a mediocre back who avoids contact might be the single most ridiculous thing I've read here, yet this fucking moron says it over and over again.

And you’re a fucking stalker.
If you’re going to paraphrase me at least do it correctly.
I think he’s mediocre, but I never said he avoids contact, my biggest issue is he can’t pass block for shit.
So maybe go back to your Rolodex of people you stalk and find the right person with that take you stupid piece of shit.
So fucking rich.
I suppose you and the rest of these armchair managers know how to build this team right? You have your thumb on the pulse of the modern NFL right?
The professionals are certainly not infallible but I get tired of a bunch of dimwits drinking beer in their underpants raging about this stuff like they have any clue.

Well you have to admit that his post has plenty of substance.
