Ron Rivera says the Redskins will bring in QBs Joe Burrow and Tua Tagavailoa. Says all options are on the table.
How awesome would it be if the Bengals took a QB, Washington took a QB and then either the Dolphins, Chargers or Panthers send a shitload to the Lions to take a third QB, leaving us with Chase Young.
I see a better athlete than football player. Yes he makes some great plays but you also see a guy that gets lost in plays. More safety than LB, I dont think he is tough enough to play that close to the line all the time.
Agreed. I don't see how to justify taking a guy without a defined position at #4 overall. Hard pass.

It is because he is a "LB" that isn't good inside the box. He plays more like a safety he's unique and needs to be in the right system to maximize what he does well. Asking him to play a traditional role probably isn't the best situation for him.
I don’t like Chaisson and I have a hard time thinking that
1 - If Isiah Simmons weighed in at 238 knowing that number mattered I would guess he'll really play in the high 220's or right around 230 (gallon of water before weigh in likely)
2 - Derek Brown, and this doesn't effect play so is worthless, but does a 9" hand for a guy that size with arms that long seem weird? All 3 of those things go together typically.
A gallon of water doesn’t weigh 8 lbs
Correct, a gallon of fresh water weighs 8.33 lbs. Now salt waters weighs 8.55 lbs.
RE: When people say Simmons is a tweeter it isn't because of his size

Well going by Judge and Grahams comments and philosophy, he seems to be the guy we're looking for.
how Becton fares in the interviews and drills. I think he and Simmons remain atop the the Giants list.
I'm getting the sense that this year's recipient of "player who drops the most" is Andrew Thomas. Just a month ago many were predicting him first OL off the board. Likely top 5 prospect.
I wouldn't be surprised now if he falls into the late teens. With Buffalo likely his firewall at #22.
I went into this thinking there wasn't an OT in this class worthy of a Top 5 pick but wanted to delve deeper. I've changed my mind.
He's big enough, strong enough, long enough, athletic enough, tough enough, has plus technical skills in both run and pass blocking. There are no deficiencies in his game. He's a smooth and natural mover. He's like an iceman out there. He just works his routine and wears you down. He has upside to his game and a high floor. He's both a better player than becton right now and the less risky choice.
I encourage you all to watch his game vs Auburn. Wills(#74) engages with Derrick Brown(#5) several times and looks good in their encounters. He was the best lineman on either side of the ball for either squad in that game and there was a lot of high quality NFL talent on the field that day. Good video breakdown of Wills here including some Auburn clips - ( New Window )
RE: I don’t like Chaisson and I have a hard time thinking that
Don’t just look at the stats. Chaisson is super young but smart and relentless. His upside is huge and he is a “ dog “ that many on here say they want in a LB.

Do you know what impressed more in that video? The job Alabama RG Deonte Brown did battling DBrown. He's an interesting prospect for 2021.
I have to admit that is some really good technique in all phases. I can't believe how quick his feet and hips are. I would be happy if he was our 1st pick

Crazy shit happens so you never know.
Quote:
6'3 3/8
238 pounds
9 5/8 hands
33 3/8 arms
81 7/8 wingspan
Good start to the combine for him.
If he were 15 pounds heavier with the same expected explosiveness, I would sign off on him at 4 as an OLB.
Actually he only lacks 7 pounds to hit the avg weight of a LB in the NFL which is 245

That's in response to Eric's link on Wills
