on HBO?
Last two episodes coming up.
Terrific acting and after a gripping first two episodes - in which I admittedly didn't know the entire premise - it's continued to keep my attention despite some slow spots.
And I'm still very interested in seeing how it all ends.
Stephen King fans probably know the ending, but it's probably still worthy of watching.
Once it became sci-fi (episode 3 or 4?) (or whatever you'd call it) I was disappointed, because not my genre usually, but I find it still enjoyable.
Kind of like Stranger things in that I knew the topic for Stranger things, didn't think I'd like it, but I do.
Just finally started watching the killing season 1
getting into that too
It seems like it's generally following the flow of the book. It just seems quite grim at times, and I'm a little unclear how they tie things together now. I'm looking forward to the rest. I think they handled the transition of the story in the second episode quite well (purposely being vague to avoid obvious spoilers).
This Holly is a totally different character. Very good actresses in both and very good characters in each, but different.
Change the name!
Holly was great though.
Holly was great though.
I really wanted to like it too. Im a big Brendan Gleeson and thought the first two books in the series were really good. Second one was borderline great IMO. I thought much of it was poorly cast, including Brady, but we know he wasnt the first choice. I also think they deviated a bit too much. Im not against changing some things up as a rule either. I think the changes they've made to The Outsider make sense and work well. But they realled messed up the Mercedes series.
Mare Winningham plays his wife: she is one of the original Brat Pack from the 80's
Based on some comments here it seems like it will get more supernatural so we'll see how it goes from here out but glad I started.
Sunday's episode started to pick up the tempo again and I am looking forward to the last two now.
I think I will read the story once the show is done.
