Fans claim the holding call on Keith Hamilton which brought back a Jessie Armstead td was the foundation for the loss. I don't agree with that. The Ravens defense was smothering the Giants overmatched offense which caused several turnovers and was the ultimate difference in that game.
I've always wondered if Armstead's INT return for a TD stood up
The Giants defense played well, they only gave up 17 points, and the Ravens last TD was garbage time after the game had long been decided. Maybe they lose anyway, who knows? Like when Lawrence Taylor was asked if Jerry Rice hadn't fumbled on his way to the end zone in 1986 he answered, "we win 49-10!"
I remember being so amped when we won the coin toss because I believe-if memory holds-we were undefeated all season when winning that. Yeah, that didn't help...

Defense held up pretty well, but lost the field position battle early. That played into the Ravens hands. Dilfer was absolutely awful and Collins had opportunities to get scores. The interception in the end zone was brutal in the second quarter. I still will never understand the holding on the Armstead interception because Strahan was already about to sack Dilfer. He would have never got the ball out quick enough anyway...
