We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the picks thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the draft.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two-hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e. Kansas City won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Please utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible… Good luck!
I see you are in good spirits today! Now to see how I can crush them by taking who you want when I pick at 170!

I have my options, no way you can crush my dreams this time. Famous last words! Jerk
If we pass on Simmons, a guy like Davis-Gaither in the 4th or 5th would make a lot of sense.
I know we all like the big-bodied receivers. Guys like Pittman, Claypool, DPJ would look great in blue.
I'd also like to see another 2-way TE added to the roster, like Trautman.
With one of our 7ths, (despite adding Dion Lewis) one of those speedy backs who can help in the return game would make sense. Though I am hesitant to mention names to give transparency into my draft board ;)

I could discuss a player I took in Davion Taylor as someone if we are looking for a Day 3 LB/S type. I am also partial to Van Jefferson at WR. Charlotte's Alex Highsmith is another player in the Round 4-5 area that I would also consider.
In the 4th I really like the guy I snagged Betiku, think his potential to be a legit NFL pass rusher in the 4th round is a great risk reward. Also other guys in the 4th Troy Dye, Tyler Johnson or Gabriel Davis. The WR talent at the top of the 2nd is undeniable. But for me it's hard to argue that we don't absolutely need to go OL / Defensive playmaker with our 1/2 picks to have a chance to compete this year. Maybe even T/T because as of now we don't have a RT and rolling the dice and depending on Solder / Fleming for one of the spots seems really unwise, especially if we want to see accurately if DJ is the answer at QB.
Looking at the end of the 3rd I don't see the value at WR. I'm in the Simmons or Okudah camp which I think means we NEED to go OT in the 2nd and probably 3rd too. But if we go OT in the first would love to see us snag Jordan Brooks.
This sucks. We have done so well to avoid autopicks.
Next in line is Jake Hanson, OL. Makes sense to assign him to the skins.
Not happy.

That is always the best compliments!
Always a lot of chatter by sports guys in Dallas about players Cowboys are interested in for the draft
Wait can we switch Rick and Andy... Naaahhhh that would take away all my fun.
WR Justin Jefferson - LSU
CB Noah Igbinoghene - Auburn
RB Cam Akers - FSU
CB Josiah Scott - Michigan State
S J.R. Reed - Georgia
CB/S L'Jarius Sneed - Louisiana Tech
The Raiders have actually done a great job building a team. I really wanted to add a WR or two, another RB, and then load up on DBs where they need the most help. Igbinoghene is a little raw, but so I think can be a good starter in this league. Josiah Scott is one of my favorite CBs, but probably isn't big enough to be on the outside. I think he will be a very good Nickel. Reed is a pure all american safety and great value in the 4th probably because of his age. Sneed is a gamble on his size, speed, and play making ability. We will start him at CB, but he should default back to Safety worst case.
So a little Defense back heavy, but the Raiders only true need is DB. So we took a little extra scoop.

Now that you are done you can comment on the PAC-12 players other teams select! I have taken a few and there are some others on my board who might receive consideration if we go 7 Rounds and/or as UDFA's if that is the path we take.
Nice pick, Kevin. Benito was on my short list for my upcoming pick.
I live in a small town of 25,000 and they just built a $40 million 12,000 stadium. Crazy

You have always done well dipping into the Pac-12 every year. Michael Pittman is one of my favorite round 2 WRs. Great size and productive. He was great this year especially when you consider him going through 3 QBs. That isn't just playing with 3 QBs, but he practiced a ton with Daniels who got hurt early. Then you have Leki Fotu who is a beast. The guy is huge and strong, but also surprisingly quick for his size. The only problem I end up having with Utah players is their coaches are good. They always get the most out of their players so you question if they are peaked out.
Saying that my nephew is a stud rugby player. He was actually offered by the #2 team in the nation (Life College), but choose to sign with SBU instead because he liked the education and how the coaches would use him better. So long story short... I now know more about Rugby then I thought I ever would and Fotu is also a stud Rugby player!
2.41 Antoine Winfield Jr., S - Minnesota
3.74 Chase Claypool, WR - Notre Dame
3.97 Shane Lemieux, G - Oregon
4.115 Logan Wilson, LB - Wyoming
LT: The Browns literally don't have a LT on the roster right now (Chris Hubbard, who was awful at RT is listed as the only player on Ourlads)so there was no avoiding the position. Since we can't trade, I thought it was necessary to grab one at 10. I knew Austin Jackson would be considered a reach, but I am very high on him and he was the top LT on the board. As it turned out, the only LTs left at 41 were Lucas Niang, Prince Tega Wanogho and some real developmental guys. We needed a day one starter, so I'm glad a took him there. We would have been making July trades had we not gotten Jackson or Jones at 10.
I (believe) I got better value out of the rest of my picks (so far) but I would have liked to address DL sooner. Vernon has a year left on his deal and a 15M cap hit. Ogunjobi is up after this year and Richardson only has 1 more year and will be 31.
S: We have 2 1-year deals for vets Andrew Sendejo and Karl Joseph, so adding some depth and talent there was paramount. Really glad to have added a playmaker like Winfield here.
LB: Mack Wilson is a good young player at WLB and Sione Takitaki has some upside but with BJ Goodson and Tae Davis as backups, we need some depth at SLB and MLB with the losses of Schobert and Kirksey. Logan Wilson should be able to play day one at SLB or inside and is a sneaky athletic tackling machine.
RG: Bitonio is one of the best in the game at LG and JC Tretter is very good at center. The Browns signed Jack Conklin for big money to play RT so with the selection of Austin Jackson, RG is the only other spot that needed to be addressed along the line. Only Wyatt Teller is there after being acquired from Buffalo mid-season. Shane Lemieux should compete for that starting spot day 1 and be able to backup several spots.
WR: OBJ and Landry are excellent but as always there are rumors of OBJ being unhappy and trade bait. Behind them are the impressive crew of KhaDarel Hodge, Taywan Taylor, J'Mon Moore and Damion Ratley. Even if OBJ is happy and healthy they needed to add depth and talent here. Chase Claypool was the last WR available in my second tier and is a physical phenom coming in at 6'4" 238 and running 4.42 at the combine. More importantly, he's a damn good football player and brings a skillset that isn't currently on the roster at the position.
Selected Tyre Phillips our of Mississippi State. Give him some time, in the Saints program and groom him to take over soon.
P.S. Let's do a 7th round: I have 3 picks then!!! haha!
Justin Jefferson will be a star in the NFL.
Chuckie must be smiling.
Yes sir! Thanks for keeping all this running smooth!
Williams cannot only play center but started 2 years at guard for Miss St.
Team captain who has excellent upper body strength. Perfect fit to sit behind Looney this year for Cowboys with potential to start in 2021.
