We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the picks thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the draft.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two-hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e. Kansas City won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Please utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible… Good luck!
His dad Eddie is quite the firefighter.
He's also a very productive passrusher
Coughlin would have been nice, but I am fine with this in 7.
Usually we do it straight on the selection thread with comments only allowed for the sake of notifying people if they have accidentally duplicated someone already selected.
Theme of the Houston Texans this draft continues.

Thank you, Sy, for the tip. His write up of John Penisini piqued my interest for a late round flyer on a down in the dirt D-Lineman who makes his teammates better.

Hahaha hehehe! Penis. Hahaha!
He was on my short list for UDFA. Nice selection.

Not a big fan Tacoma FD fan?
Oh, uh, haven't watched an episode yet. I did like Super Troopers, so the show looked promising. Just haven't gotten around to it.

It's already been made. Not my problem he didn't look to see who was or wasn't actually available. Pinkney's mine.
Possessive much, Heir Mongoe?
lol. Touche. Nah man, it's his boo-boo. H can make his pick, but it can't be Pinkney. Remember when the clock ran out for the vikings a few years back during the actual draft? The team after them made their pick right away. I made mine. I checked first and was prepared. Same should apply. Let Pete pick, but it can't be Pinkney. It's what's fair.

Cut the guy some slack. You'd be tired too at 10:30 PM. Fortunately most of BBI is kind and when a good faith mistake is made won't screw over the other person.
We need to keep this in mind going forward as well. Mix ups like this are more likely to happen the further down the rabbit hole we go. We've never done 7 rounds before. Mistakes like Pete's are more likely to occur in the 6th and 7th rounds. I'll try and stay up until 12:15 am my time, which would be 4:15 pm NY time, so that I have the clock on my side before my next pick for the Fish (#251).

If you want you can e-mail a short list in case you feel like you might fall asleep before #251
Dang it. He was probably my top UDFA target. I have been looking at him since the start of the 6th Round, but with the depth of Edge rushers I kept passing on him
I should be okay. My list is down to 22.

I know Madplaid is joking, lol. I am tired. I'm trying my best to do this with you guys despite being 8 hours ahead of you and working all friggin day. Teaching online is NOT easy. I had to prepare lessons while doing this. I wanna watch Better Call Saul now too.

Thanks Mike. I'll pass though. I like to make all of my picks in person and in real time. It's safe harbor time now anyway since it's past 4 pm NY time (12:22 am my time and 4:22 pm NY time). I have until tomorrow. I'm an early riser though----5 am my time, which is 9 pm your time. So, I should be able to pick shortly thereafter, with it still being off the clock. Besides, there shouldn't be any rush. We'll finish off the tail end of Round 7 tomorrow God willing, along with UDFA.

Have a good night. Just figured I would offer.
The TE I took immediately prior to Cole II was a pretty good value too. Jared Pinkney out of Vandy isn't a classical blocking TE, but this isn't 1990 anymore. He's a willing blocker who can mix it up, if need be. He has talent and athleticism. He talked about how the Patriots said he had a "loser's mentality" at the combine when he responded to one of their questions in a way they didn't like. He'll get the chance to shove that right back in their faces with a former Patriots coach as his head coach.
Anywho, time to get ready for undrafted free agency mania. I've already got one guy I want and who I think will help. I need to list some others, but that will have to wait until I have some free time later. Time to get ready for work now, so I gotsta go. It's about 6:30 am where I am now. Hope you mongoes are all well. Big ups to Matt G, Mike in NY, and Madplaid for keeping this operation running smoothly. We should be able to finish up this bad boy (the last few picks of the 7th round and undrafted free agency) in the next day or so, and then begin to reflect on it.
