We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the picks thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the draft.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two-hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e. Kansas City won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Please utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible… Good luck!
Ditto on this for me... He was amazing all year and that is with multiple different QBs playing starting throughout the year. I knew he would be a long shot to make it to me, but figured since he is Pac-12 and most are east coasters I had a chance.

was hoping he might slip to me in the 3rd but didn't figure he would.

Had Queen been off the board it would likely have been back to back Pac-12 players (Jaylon Johnson had been next on my list). I thought you'd know by now that I have no problems selecting players from the Pac-12!

Oh I know you steal Pac-12 players from me!!
As far as Findley is concerned, he'll fit in well at Right Guard on the OL for Miami. He has his college teammate with him, in D'Andre Swift. He'll be happy to block for him again in the pros, along with another drafted linemate in Josh Jones, who I picked 26th overall. Tua should be in dececent shape protection-wise going into his rookie year.
Apologies for the lateness by the way fellas. I fell asleep with my laptop on. As stated above, I'm 8 hours ahead of you guys who are on the East Coast back home. I'm in Abu Dhabi where they have a curfew in place now for tonight and the next two days. Anywho, I'm ready to pick again at 70! Peace, love, and chicken grease.
Damn it. Wanted him at 60. Thought there was a better chance that he would fall than Pittman and thought the difference between him and my next Edge Rusher was smaller than Pittman to next WR.
That's what the draft is about. Commodities trading and Valuation trade-off from one pick to another.
Back in 1997, the Giants strongly considered taking Tiki Barber with their first round pick. Instead, they chose Ike Hilliard and gambled on Tiki still being there for them in the second round. That worked out for them fortunately. These are the conundrums front offices face in preparation for the draft and on actual draft day/days. The real time decision making process is based on data as it goes and runs which have taken place and/or are projected to take place. I'd be interested to see how much impact data analysts have on this real-time process.
Sorry YAJ. Now I am happy I didn't get cute and picked Wilson when I did.
We need defense, we need OL, we need receivers, we need edge rushers, we need DBs, we need... so so much.
We aren't fixing this in one draft, lets not fool ourselves. If DG sits there and picks for exclusively for need we should all want him fired.
I would have taken Wilson there if I was Andy.
WR and OL both heavy needs, went with the better prospect of the two groups.
Isaiah Wilson and Prince Tea Wanagho taken just ahead of me, so made the choice easy to go with this kid. It's a big leap to the nfl from Liberty, but he just feels like a star in the making to me
Good thing Rhule is on board!!
There were two other players that I deliberated over, which is why I spent about 15-20 minutes longer picking than I thought. I was deliberating over who to take, and Biadasz ultimately won. I doubt either of those two players I deliberated over will be available when I pick 71 spots from now at Selection #141 near the bottom of the 4th round, but stranger things have happened. There's a slight chance that a particular player that I want is still going to be there at 141. If I'm lucky, he may, but we'll see. In the meantime, I'm done for a bit and will rest.
Tyler B has dropped a bit, but I think the Fish are a good landing spot for him. I've rebuilt the OL in this draft for them. He can sit and watch to start the year and then has a chance to get into the starting lineup when he's ready. It may even be better for him to watch to start and see how a veteran Center in Karras operates before playing. He has a his good friend and former Badger teammate, Michael Dieter, starting at Left Guard, so this is an added bonus. Tua has a running game and young OL to work with next year, which is priority one for rookie franchise QB.
I know there is still over 3 1/2 rounds to go, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all of the effort you put into running this every year. The banter always seems to get better with each passing year.
Not sure. His account is suspended now though.
Man, I keep getting sniped before my pick. So frustrating lmao

Good idea for the Saints.
I think Hurts is going to end up being the most successful quarterback in this class. Just has to go to a team smart enough to use him right.
Nice pick up. I looked at Claypool hard for my 2nd round selection. Ultimately decided to go with Wilson because of the limited supply of OL vs. WRs. Did not expect Claypool to fall so far into the 3rd round.

Landry works best out of the slot and who knows what’s up with OBJ. Claypool was on my radar in round two and is a physical specimen. He blew up the combine and probably ends up in the second round next month. The Browns couldn’t pass up the value here in the 3rd.

There are still a number of WR’s I like and I would have been happy to just wait, but when Pittman was on the board at 55 he was the last on a much higher tier.
