We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the picks thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the draft.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two-hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e. Kansas City won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Please utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible… Good luck!
I had Harris as the 4th best center in the draft. Good value Andy at 99.
Lynch isn't the sort that gets pushed around and has playmaking ability. I think he even has another gear that 'lilBill will help him attain.
That wraps up what is really the heart of the Pats Draft. 3 3rd Rounders ijn the books. Really very pleased with how it played out.
ER Anae
TE Trautman
DL Lynch
Cya in Round 4

Nice picks. Lynch was the other name I was pondering at 92.
I hate Zack Moss... meaning he is a stud that killed the Pac-12. He didn't run fast at the combine and you watch him and he doesn't look fast, but he breaks plays! He runs with power and is not fun to bring down. This is a great pick and almost who I took install of Cam Akers. I might be having buyers remorse also.
I am not going to comment on this pick... I think you picked Nick Harris because you know I would like the pick based on that I watch a ton of Pac-12 football and his tape is good and you clearly didn't want me to insult your pick so that is the ONLY reason you picked him. So I won't compliment your pick as a result. Take that.
Yeah that would have sucked trying to rip that pick. Actually with exception of the slight bigger, but slower Tavon Austin you drafted way to early I like the draft. I mean you remind me of DG when it comes to OL... you both talk about liking good OL player, but you never do enough to get them!

Now, of the endless criticism's you can all make of me I don't think not paying attention to OL is really one of them. Keep in mind that I've drafted guys like: Ronnie Stanley, La'el Collins, Orlando Brown, Connor McGovern, Travis Frederick, Nate Solder, Mike Iupati, Max Unger and they would all be considered major hits. I've also failed miserably on Konz, Kouandijo and a couple other later guys. But my starting OL would be pretty much on par with the best OL in the NFL right now. Ronnie Stanley is probably the best LT in football. Now, me picking RB's... that's some low hanging fruit (other than James Conner and Kerryon Johnson).
CiP, we've only had a clock starting today, so the lack of autopicks isn't that remarkable presently. Please don't jinx us. :-)

Look who wants a pat on the back now! Sheesh man the ego on this guy.... oh look at me and my good OL drafts! And FYI my comment about you and DG stand the same... you both got Nate Soldier!
All kidding aside that is a pretty damn impress list.
I'm going to be tied up for the next few hours

Any auto picks yet have we? Great job everyone, especially Matt...

CiP is jinxing us! I agree with Matt that I don't see why Washington would skip over the first name on the board at this point.
JHC we need and OT or two Andy... you rolling out Solder and the new guy... Safety is like our eleventeenth need!

I would have run to the podium for him. Still a guy or two worth drafting still available though.

There are still OT on the board who I did not expect to be there. I would also disagree about where you rank S among our needs. I am not sure we actually have a FS on the roster.
Ha! What movie had the "cooler?"
I looked at some of the bigger WR's left but felt Duvernay was going to end up being a better NFL player than those guys. It was close with 2 others for sure
Adding explosive athletes was something I would like to see the Giants accomplish and clearly was on my mind for early rounds. That was a big takeaway for me watching other teams last year - they were so much faster, especially on D.
Reagor didn't time especially well in the 40 at the combine but he is a 4.3 player with exceptional cutting ability. I really liked a group of WRs but didnt' think one from the group I liked best would fall to 99 or 110. Like you, I would have been happy to go defense again in 2 but the board did not treat me well just before my pick. It was a gamble that one of Harris, Wilson, Hennessy, Peart and one other would be there at 99 but I got lucky to get two of the OL I wanted in that middle section of the draft.
Reagor is a boom/bust type of player. I totally get that, it's a risky pick for sure and not to everyone's taste. But he is an incredible athlete imo.

Certainly a few potential switches (i'd have probably gone D > WR round 2) but overall I think you've added 2 talented players on the OL who could see the field right away, and 2 playmakers who dramatically increase the explosiveness on both sides of the ball. As I said, I may have just leaned into the D with the 2nd pick to add 2 explosive players on D. 1 of Okwara, Gladney, Davis, Winfield, etc. Especially with the WR depth in this draft likely having a good player available with the next pick.

Definitely was a gamble and glad it paid off. It is easy looking with hindsight. Knowing what I know now it might have been better for me to take Wilson over Dobbins at 60 and instead of having to land an OG at 106 taken the other player I was considering (who is still on the board) and I am hoping falls to 129
The official Logan Wilson fan club. Meeting is called to order.
Nice pick Kevin, I was going to take him with the next pick. I ended up taking versatile OL Calvin Throckmorton. Throckmorton will likely move inside in the NFL but he backup all five OT spots as a rookie while he develops.
Also, thanks for posting the pick Matt. Sweet photo!
Also, funny note looking at the Browns depth chart. Their backup MLBs are BJ Goodson and Tae Davis.
