The #Redskins sent a 5th round pick to the #Panthers in exchange for QB Kyle Allen, source said. With Carolina signing PJ Walker today, this helps the QB room take shape

..on the verge of reaching some sort of injury settlement with Alex Smith. He's eating up $21.4M in cap and his '20 salary became guaranteed at the start of the '19 leavgu year so I wonder if his timeline sin't where it needs to be and they worked something out.

I thought the kid played well behind one of the few O-Lines worse at allowing pressure and hits on the QB's than ours.

This kind of reminds me of the Bob and Cousins dynamic back in the day.

They may try to trade back (Dolphins?) for Okudah, but there's no guarantee he'll fall. They might just take Okudah and say "fuck it."

Or they could just take the best edge player in Young who may terrorize the NFC East teams in future seasons.

Allen played pretty well before falling off the last few games. I'm sure Rivera liked what he saw and thought Allen could be a good QB.
