The #Redskins sent a 5th round pick to the #Panthers in exchange for QB Kyle Allen, source said. With Carolina signing PJ Walker today, this helps the QB room take shape
Assuming no Newton-Rivera reunion in old DC anymore.
..on the verge of reaching some sort of injury settlement with Alex Smith. He's eating up $21.4M in cap and his '20 salary became guaranteed at the start of the '19 leavgu year so I wonder if his timeline sin't where it needs to be and they worked something out.
I mean they have NOTHING on the outside. They signed Kendall Fuller back, but he's best as a nickel. Same can be said for Moreau. I suppose they could kick the tires on someone like Xavier Rhodes, Ronald Darby, Trumaine Johnson or Prince, but those guys are not exactly sure things to rebound.
They may try to trade back (Dolphins?) for Okudah, but there's no guarantee he'll fall. They might just take Okudah and say "fuck it."
RE: Anyone else think that they could take Jeff Okudah?

Or they could just take the best edge player in Young who may terrorize the NFC East teams in future seasons.

LOL.
Chances were already at zero, so not much of a reduction.

as it decreases the likelihood the Redskins go QB. Good part is it increases the likelihood a bit that the Panthers will be looking QB.

Thus the use of the term pipedream...
This kind of reminds me of the Bob and Cousins dynamic back in the day.
Chase Young and a defensive-minded head coach in Ron Rivera always made perfect sense.
