Lars was right. The music industry business model couldn't function with Napster and services like Napster. It was piracy. Everyone knew it. The problem was, technology killed the music industry and Lars was fighting against something which couldn't be stopped and the music industry fundamentally changed. He's lucky that Metallica was able to make their money before it all came crashing down.
