Matt Moore turned down Giants offer

Ralph Vacchiano of SNY reports that Moore turned down the Giants’ contract offer and remains a free agent.

The Giants had previously been linked to former Kansas City and Miami backup Matt Moore, but it’s McCoy who will be joining Big Blue’s QB room. A source tells Vacchiano that the Giants did make an offer to Moore, but he turned it down.”

to need a top backup. No reason to pay top $$. If we lose DJ for an extended period of time we may as well play out the string.

with Alex Tanney here. The threat of Alex Tanney should scare most guys away who aren't as good in the room.

I assume this was for the 3rd QB/QB coach spot.

Why the hell don't I retire now? you came back, won the super bowl. What else could you want? He's never going to be a starter in this league and he has to know that. Maybe he thinks the handful of games he played last year warrants a bigger paycheck?

Moore came out of retirement specifically to play for Andy Reid

I don't think its some big inditement of the Giants that he didn't want to come here.

Somehow I don’t think Moore passed on the giants simply because they were bad last season.

New CBA allows for a couple players on the practice squad with more experience.
