was hands down my favorite wrestler in the late 90s / early aughts. definitely felt bad for david watching that. glad to see he and his aunt got back in touch through it though. never liked jerico as a wrestler but good on him for reaching out to the kid after the tragedy.

The episodes are interesting to an extent, to get the perspective of those who were closest to what was transpiring. Back before the Internet, we only knew what hit the monthly wrestling newspapers and TV channels. It also goes a long way in showing you a lot of the people in the industry are diabolical shitty humans.

I once saw him put a table across the corner set up another table on top of it and then a chair on top of that table. Malenko handed him a guy and he power bombed him off the chair. His moves were so crisp. Everything he did in the ring looked good.

I wasn't watching WWE at all in 2007 during the Benoit thing. By the time JBL had acquired the belt in 2004, I ditched watching completely. I remember running into a friend at a gas station in the Summer of 2006 when WWE was the furthest thing from my mind and he had a DX shirt on. I thought the shirt looked good for being so old.
He explained to me that DX was back together with Shawn and Triple H and I just laughed in his face. I couldn't believe he was still watching and I couldn't believe they had to do the DX thing... again.
I feel the same way about today's product. Kids i understand being fans, but if you're 37, why bother?
The Ruthless aggression era stuff was miles better than what's on today. I don't see what the appeal is. Brock Lesnar vs some guy.

I feel the same way. It's awful these days. I only really have a couple of talents I enjoy watching with the main one being Seth Rollins.
He was your basic, awful white-meat, generic babyface last year when he was Champion. But anytime he's a heel (like he is now), he's really damn good, IMO. This current 'Messiah' character he's working right now he has down to a tee. He's really good at being a prick.
I make sure to catch his segment every week on Youtube and that's it.
Other than that, zero interest in wrestling. AEW is even worse than WWE, IMO. So bad.
Watching mainstream media trying to cover the whole Benoit thing was comical at the very, very .... very least.
